Berthed alongside the Pier Mauá. This long line of old warehouses have been converted into a large cruise terminal. Opened in 1998. The terminal building is pretty massive with tourist concessions inside and best of all pretty decent free wifi.
Visit as many museums as you possibly can. The images you see (painted, drawn, etched or photographed) will stay with you for the rest of your life. They will help you to discover good pictures in real life. Suppress any silly ambitions of becoming a great artist. Being a good photographer is difficult enough :-)

A few years ago, I took a similar shot of the Infinity Bridge in Stockton on Tees and said that I wanted to return in better conditions. We visited tonight and were blessed with reflections.
I never do this shot justice but keep trying. Bell Heather above Gribdale Gate, near Roseberry Topping.

Attraction park Rivoli Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Mainly designed around recycled attractions, and supposed to have opened in 2016, this park is still not ready for the grand opening. What you see here will become a 5 storey indoor campsite.
This long decaying old school was built at a time when optimism was high for the future of Alma,KS. But some fortunes have a way of changing,and now Alma is a semi-ghost,with a very uncertain future.
This is an old scanned pic,processed with snapseed. I had a relative who lived in Salina who let me ride around with him with my Kodak many years ago...

When I grow up I want to be a church bell and then I can take part in a "Peel" of bells. For Macro Monday's them " It's A-Peeling To Me".
This is a small falconry bell which measures less than 1 inch in diametre - HMM!
While I was in the Painted Hall, a Dutch Warship came past on the Thames on a goodwill visit being helped to her moorings by two tugs. One of these, RT Ambition, is seen here, job done, heading back down the Thames past Canary Wharf in the background. The Island Gardens entrance to the foot tunnel can be seen behind the cab of the tug.
I actually fulfilled an ambition ? aspiration ? I had to get some Gulls or preferably some wading bird shots by the sea... Not to copy but emulate a poster type picture I have in my kitchen. I love the picture and won't be taking it down but all my downstairs rooms are coastal themed including my conservatory (tiny lean too but it fits an Ikea Ektorp sofa and a couple of chairs so it will do ) I got plenty of Gull shots and one very similar to what I had hoped to get but I have to say my hand holding technique isn't great and I had to shoot on continuous H to get anything sharp - where I wished it sharp that is.......
The main thing is, I DID it and enjoyed myself.
There is always something along our much maligned beach but it's close to home as I said before - plus I never saw another photographer yet in all the years we've been going so I'm more relaxed when having a go.. Sue :)

I've visited this bridge a few times and spoken of an ambition for perfect reflections. My fingers are crossed now for next year's display, hoping for less wind. Thank you Stockton on Tees, for a very special night! I could easily fill my front page with images from this shoot but they're a little repetitive in framing. My wife was surprised I hadn't edited more. I had a few burned out shots from the really bright bursts and think I may try shooting on manual with "Bulb" next time. The infinity Bridge is named because, when reflected, the shape is like its symbol. The bridge allows walkers and cyclists to access the University Campus.
Covid put a stop to visits for further displays but I'll return one day!
