I decided to avoid the crowds at Stanmer Park Kite Festival and go here instead. I came here with a friend in the 80s to take some portrait pics; easy access to most units then, but not now, some were open.

It was really quiet and full of interesting stuff - machines, warehouses, diggers and trucks, boats. The weather was a little cloudy, a bit of rain and some sun too. So a good mix of it all. Ive worked on some of these, I felt b&w was needed on some, sepia on others, hopefully not too much.

@kyoto station. it really amazed me as i didn't expect kyoto station would look like this - somewhere grand like a science space world leading towards the roof garden to get a whole city view.

Let There Be Light.

This picture taken on my travels of Turkey in 1995 of the central #dome of St. Sophia in #Trabzon. The church was converted to a mosque in 1461 by the sultan Mehmet. In accordance with Islamic law mages are not permitted in places of worship so the fresco's faces were erased and the walls whitewashed. From a google search I understand the church is a place of Islamic worship From July 2013 and the frescos have been protected and covered.

Peter B. Lewis Building

Cleveland, Ohio

One of the greatest wonders and still work-in-progress artwork / architecture! Originally started as a small chapel, Gaudi turned it into the most ambitious artworks of exterior and interior superiority. If you study closely, the idea is reversed outside out! The dogmatic interior of gothic churches here is on the exterior walls and columns. The organic aspect of intervening between rising cones towards haven and naturalistic plastic leaves, animals and others. The artwork is not yet completed, as it was started around 1887... my Catalan friends revealed to me that the finances are coming from donations and small contributions from tourists ( seen standing in the line), otherwise this ambitious work would never some to nearly completion.
