Van Nurden is one of 56 Soldiers and 2 Airmen from the Nebraska National Guard’s 67th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade who are currently deployed to St. Croix where they are responsible for the command and control of Guardsmen from 31 different states currently supporting the hurricane relief and recovery operations on St. Croix and St. Thomas

Nine members from 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 211th Regiment leave the Army Aviation Support Facility in West Jordan, Utah with two UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters to help reduce reduce the destruction of the deadly California wildfires Aug. 27, 2020.

Members of the Nebraska Army National Guard’s 67th Manuever Enhancement Brigade continue to lend a hand to the hurricane-ravaged U.S. Virgin Islands as a part of the Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria relief and recover efforts.

Last week that support took them to the St. Croix Ricardo Richards Elementary School where members of Joint Task Force Pike helped clean up the school in preparation for the grand opening as part of the hurricane cleanup efforts.

Here are some more photos from the Nebraska National Guard’s Maj. Carlos Van Nurden on the massive and far-flung damage that resulted when Hurricanes Irma and Maria struck the U.S. Virgin Islands with devastating winds a few weeks ago.

Van Nurden is one of 56 Soldiers and 2 Airmen from the Nebraska National Guard’s 67th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade who are currently deployed to St. Croix where they are responsible for the command and control of Guardsmen from 31 different states currently supporting the hurricane relief and recovery operations on St. Croix and St. Thomas
