Earth Pyramids near Renon, Sud Tirol, Italy, 10 Sep 2022
Earth pyramids are formed from moraine clay soil left behind after the last Ice Age.
There are boulders scattered throughout the clay
The boulder protects the clay underneath from rainfall, but the surrounding clay is gradually washed away.
The first 2020 escape, directly into the nature, out of the peak tourism season. Fresh air, rainstorms, trekking, cheeses, smoked ham, seed bread, wild berries, grappas and hot coffees admiring the forest from our loft window.
When mother nature pleasantly takes care of the passing of time.

Arrivando da Bolzano, appena superato l’abitato di Sarentino si giunge a Campolasta - Astfeld, qui la valle si biforca, a sinistra prosegue la Val di Pennes, mentre a destra la valle di Valdurna. Proprio qui, a fondovalle, troviamo l'omonimo lago!! Piccola perla dalle acque cristalline dove si specchiano i masi sui prati e i boschi di larici. In questo periodo poi i larici cominciano a cambiare colore, prima giallo e poi rosso. Si ripete lo spettacolo autunnale!!
