Late afternoon view of the Adige valley from Latzfons, the steep valley terrain means a lot of shadows between October and March.

*Geisler-Spitzen im Licht der untergehenden Sonne*
On two of the seven days of our last trip to the Funes Valley, the clouds were kind to us and cleared the way in time to illuminate the peaks of the Odle group. To my delight, the half moon appeared over Fermeda.
This picture shows the church of the village Sexten/Sesto in Südirol/Alto Adige during sunrise. I tried to take this picture several times but most days I have been there fog was raising from the valley right before sunrise. This fog was covering the mountains in the most periode of the sunrise. But finally i got a day without the fog and I was able to take this picture.
I was tying to do a couple of long exposure photos from this location. Only a couple of people were at this popular location... so I took my chance and set up my equipment.
After two shots 7-10 Dutch "Instagram photographers" entered the docks with two models posing as bride and groom. They interrupted my third exposure but I somehow like this one more than the other photos.
Heart of Jesus Fires - Tirol Castle - Meran
.
.
The "Heart of Jesus Fire" is a 170 year old tradition and today a symbol for the independence of Southern Tyrol.
If you take a closer look you can see many fires, 2 fire crosses and a fire/heart symbol at the summit area of Ifinger Mountain (2581 m). In front you can see Tyrol castle.
