Stacy is a student who is interested in music such as trumpet and used to play drums, she quite because of bad hand-eye coordination, she loves animals too. Born out of the U.S.A in Ukraine, she comes from a religious background. Photography runs in Stacy’s family, her father is a well-known photographer, and co-author of a historically memorable book of closing churches, “Cleveland’s Sacred and Lost Architecture.” Her dad teaches Stacy his skills as a black and white photographer. She receives inspiration from everyday people, objects, etc., such as her Welsh corgi, Lilly. Stacy is interested in the expression, feeling, texture and interest in her medium sized dog.
“I love to take pictures from a different point of view of others and from what they see. I love to takes pictures that capture moments in time, to preserve them for future generations. I enjoy coming from a background of photography. There is a lot to learn, and different information that makes someone a good photographer. I find interest in the everyday things that most people walk by. During the winter, for example, I enjoy the pattern in the cracked ice on the ground or in ponds. “-Stacy
One of Stacy’s favorite pictures is “Berry Boring School Days.” This picture was taken outside of her school; she found the angle of one photo she captured of the same subject to bland and bleak. She moved under the berries and captured this deep side of something most people pass and ignore. Another of Stacy’s favorite photos she’s taken in her collection is “The Lights Go Marching One by One Hurrah.” She was very interested in the subject, and is in a marching band. A lot of people ignore the marching band during half time of a game, and don’t really pay attention. The band puts a lot of hours and work into their music and performance that they even have competitions. This photo represents the hard and dark times band can be. It should be taken more seriously than others think. The objects are essentials to a bando, another name for marching band members, because you always need your shako (hat), instrument, and some bag for anything else. This photo gives the viewer almost a sense of remembering something they missed.
As one of Stacy’s inspirations, Lilly, in the photo “Rolly Poly,” you find her dog rolling on her back on a fall day. This picture has captured when her dog is young, and energetic. It captures when something is young and new, and soon becomes old. This photo is capturing a moment in time for the future generation and personal memories of Stacy.
