Don't think this is part of the Kermario alignment but I was attracted by this forest surrounding the few big rocks close by the Kermario alignment.

The NSW Main Roads Department had to build this "cow bridge" when a short deviation was made through this cutting back in the 1950s or 60s, as the new road bisected a dairy farmers access. It looks like it is still used to herd the cows to and fro.

Ok, simple things amuse simple minds, etc. I found it funny when the 'o' in the filename of some random file on my desktop and whatever collection of open apps caused the f-spot icon in awn to come into perfect alignment
Second in importance after Carnac, les alignments in Erdeven consists of 195 megaliths in five rows aligned east to west extending for over 200 metres. You can freely walk amongst them.

Looking back east to the Partridge Creek Bridge on the 1926-1965 alignment of Route 66 west of Ash Fork, Arizona. The bridge has become known for the tree growing out of it's pavement on the west end.
(You might 'get your kicks' viewing these Route 66 photos in the Set titled ROUTE 66 - ARIZONA 2011 which has the pictures grouped geographically as if traveling west on US-66 through Arizona from the New Mexico border to the California border. Thank you......BAKER 4620)

Picked up a used 6" reflector telescope that needs alignment often. Came with a laser "eyepiece" and instructions.
This is from early morning 8/12/12. You can see Jupiter at 1:00 to the bright moon and Venus just coming over the tree tops in alignment with the moon and Jupiter. To top it off a Perseid meteor shows up. After that I went and got back under the sheets.
After welding the 12 threaded holes I put the adapter back in the lathe and turned the welds flush with the bottom face so it would sit flat on the manifold. Using two long setscrews and a square I made sure that the holes were 'square' with the old hole locations so that the fan motor adapter wouldn't fasten on crooked. I tack welded the adapter in 2 places, then 4 and finally 8, then I began filling in the crescents to connect the dots, switching from one side to the other to minimize warpage.
I came across this old page in one of my past art journals. I like the colors and the effects all over. The left page started with a coat of gesso.,

Whalley Abbey is a Cistercian foundation, founded 1296. Initial building was slow due to lack of funding. The Abbey was closed in 1537 following the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
A 'thing' of mine is making alignments that really aren't there. A bit like making my own lay lines! Lining up doors, cavities, etc. Anyone can join up two points to make a straight line!
And doors which are ajar; I think that comes from a childhood memory of a BBC drama called 'The Secret Garden'. Sometime in the 1960's!
And views from windows which have never been viewed in centuries!
