The Gulfport FL restaurant where we dined al fresco tonight. My wife BG and good friend Jim can be glimpsed under the canopy.
Outdoor dining at Circular Quay East. Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background. I can't think of a better view to digest an evening meal and glass of wine............can you ??
Located in possibly the most exclusive harbour side spot in East Circular Quay, the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar is set among a backdrop of the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, it's maybe the most superb location for sipping a chilled white and sucking down one of the many oyster varietals they offer.
The history of this federation building dates back to 1908 when it was constructed for the workers at Burns Philp & Co as part of the wharf facilities that serviced the many Island trading ships during the early to mid 1900's.
It remained unaltered until 1987 when Circular Quay was redeveloped in preparation for Australia's bicentennial celebrations in 1988. Part of that redevelopment was to change the usage of this heritage-listed building to a restaurtant and in doing so was the first step towards making East Circular Quay a true people precinct.

Slow day, what with inclement weather and the end of the season. We had the village to ourselves.
Perched high over the surrounding countryside, tiny Monsaraz is a charming hilltop medieval village with a looming castle at its edge and great views over the Alqueva Dam. Its steep, narrow streets are lined with uneven-walled, whitewashed cottages. Settled long before the Moors arrived in the 8th century, Monsaraz was recaptured by the Christians in 1167 and then given to the Knights Templar as thanks for their help. The castle was added in 1310. [Lonely Planet]

What better place to tie up the narrowboat for the night than right opposite a delightful English pub, where you can wine and dine or simply, weather permitting, sit outside and sip a glass or two of real ale or a long, cold soft drink.
Stoke Bruerne is an idealic, vibrant canal-side village nestling midway between Northampton and Milton Keynes, close to the Northamptonshire/Buckinghamshire border, in Middle England.

Along the North Wharf promenade in the Wynyard Quarter of the Auckland waterfront. The only north-facing wharf in Auckland, North Wharf is part of a huge reclamation project of the waterfront and is now home to restaurants and bars, with a nice view of Auckland Harbour.
