more for a laugh going all "something old something new" 2011 Lumix GF3 compact body MFT with new "pro level" Leica 15mm f1.7 lens... a ridiculous combination one of my newest lenses with one of my first MFT cameras from back in the day (bought when 2 years old for the silly sum of $45 WITH the 14mm pancake... from an actual respected camera shop no less no ebay snipe or dodgy hockshop)

But I actually like this combo - the 14 mm pancake is a good, very good, lens and tiny but the 15mm is just in another league and even if it is about two and a half times larger I can still fit it in a jacket pocket or the outside pocket of my camera bag

Seating for nine. Outdoor "bar" set up in the parking lot of the warehouse in Island Grove, Florida.

Outstanding in the Field Farm Dinner: Monteillet Fromagerie

Host Farmers: Joan & Pierre-Louis Dayton, WA (Walla Walla)

Guest Chefs: Emry & Sandy Kleck, Q Wood Fired Grill

Waitsburg, WA

Farmstead cheese production is pretty fascinating, & we’ll take a tour of the farm & the cheese-making operation. Everything is a factor: the goats & sheep, the grass, the weather, the milk, the cheesemakers’ skill & dedication. It all comes together to form the cheese on the plate. Chef Emry of Q Wood Fired Grill in nearby Waitsburg is a master of cooking w/ flame. Emry grew up on a ranch & has authentic cowboy cooking skills. Sandy handles the beverages w/ a degree in enology & viticulture.

Farm Dinner

Temecula Olive Oil Company

Friday, October 25 @ 2pm

Host Farmers: Catherine Pepe & Thom Curry, Temecula Olive Oil Company, Aguanga, CA (San Diego/Los Angeles)

Guest Chef: Brian Redzikowski, Kettner Exchange, San Diego, CA

A table set in an olive grove & a meal made w/ oil pressed from the olives hanging from the branches over your seat. We return to Temecula Olive Oil Company at the peak of harvest season – when the wide variety of olives are just ready to pick. On our farm tour, we’ll learn how host farmers Catherine & Thom cold-press their olives w/ heavy stones to produce some of the spiciest, most flavorful olive oil we’ve ever tasted. Chef Brian Redzikowski will join us for the 7th time in the field kitchen for a meal that celebrates world flavors & the peak Autumn produce of the Temecula Valley. Passionate farmers, an exceptionally talented chef, a spectacular night in the grove.
