I was pleased to see my old friend the wild female fox that lives off one of the many trails in Anchorage. It's been two years since I was able to visit and here she was giving quite a look to something that was making noise off in the distance.

With the pouring rain the world outside seems to fade away, only the rhythmic whisper of the water remains to keep you company.

I know, technically not correct, but never mind, it catches the eye :-))
Two young Mule Deer glancing back for the source of a sudden sound. Not to worry, it was just some falling rocks.

Collared Sparrowhawk (Accipiter cirrocephalus)
Seen in the Heathdale - Glen Orden Wetlands on this day in 2019.
This gorgeous little fellow was certainly very alert and keeping an eye on me while I was trying to move slowly in trying to capture that stance. Brave little fellow!
Was driving on the country road when I saw this deer flock on the icy surface. Stopped the car in the middle of the road and I took my gear with the 100mm lens mounted, the car window stayed closed because it was -12C outside. Looked like me and flock leader had eye contact and like it was saying "Hey snap that shot we want to move forward". I snapped and back on the road again. The flock was still freezing in that position making sure we were far away.

A lineman lookout blasts on his horn warning the rest of the team up the line to be aware of an approaching train.
Sacred Kingfisher (Todiramphus sanctus)
This one flashed across the path in front of me then proceeded to move from branch to branch, finally settling here long enough for me to get the shot.
From a visit to Werribee River Park/Werribee Park on this day two years ago.
This will be my last Marten image for awhile. I couldn’t resist adding this pose where he shows off that unique patch of beige fur on his chest and those claws on his paws. Enjoy the weekend everyone.
He was quite busy foraging on a fallen tree for a few moments then he totally surprised me when he flew up and landed on a tree very close to where I was standing. I did not get the chance to zoom out to get his whole body in the frame, so I had to settle for a close up of his head and shoulders! :)

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to gauge what a cat might be thinking. One moment it might be very playful and a split second later, its eyes and ears are showing an alert position.
My energy drink can collection is now up to five and growing. Where this is going nobody knows. I can now say this is part of the energy drink series.
Each can was shot individually with my Nikon 55mm f/2.8 NIKKOR Micro with about a 6-10 image focus stack. They do seem to have a lot of potential for art. Five cans, a rectangular to polar coordinate conversion, a wavy window and yummy colors make this slider complete!
Happy Slider Sunday - HSS
I've been spotted across the waterhole, but earlier the Wildebeest had been rutting and running behind them, they were anxious with all the commotion and nervous to approach to drink water. Adult female and juvenile male at Erindi private game reserve, Namibia
