Carlos Alberto Torres - former US held Puerto Rican political prisoner & prisoner of war. He served 30 years in US prisons for fighting to try and free Puerto Rico from US colonialism. Puerto Rico has been a colony of the US since 1898.
Alberto Díaz Gutiérrez, bekannt geworden als Korda (* 14. September 1928 in Kuba; † 26. Mai 2001 in Paris), war ein kubanischer Fotograf.
Von 1959 bis 1968 war Alberto Díaz Fotograf der kubanischen Revolutions-Elite, etwa von Fidel Castro, Ernesto 'Che' Guevara und Camilo Cienfuegos, mit denen er auch befreundet war.
Nachdem am 4. März 1960 der mit Waffen und Munition beladene belgische Frachter „La Coubre“ im Hafen Havannas explodierte, fand am Tag darauf unter der Anteilnahme von 100.000 Leuten, darunter Simone de Beauvoir und Jean-Paul Sartre, auf dem Friedhof Cristóbal Colón die Trauerfeier für die dabei getöteten „Anhänger der Revolution“ statt. Während Castros Trauerrede schuf Díaz „zufällig“ eine der bekanntesten Bildikonen des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts: Das Porträt des Guerrillero Heroico (des heldenhaften Widerstandskämpfers) Che Guevara, der dabei nur kurze Zeit anwesend war.
Da keine Zeitung das Bild wollte, schenkte der Fotograf es dem italienischen Verleger Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. Veröffentlicht wurde es nach der Ermordung Guevaras, 1967, und es wurde prompt Ikone der Populärkultur und Symbol der 68er-Bewegung, vielfach adaptiertes Kunstwerk und zuletzt noch Logo der Werbeindustrie. Besonders bekannt ist ein von Gerard Malanga im Stil von Andy Warhols Marilyn geschaffenes Bild, das er als „Original Warhol“ verkaufte – Warhol erkannte es hinterher als „sein“ Werk an und strich die Einnahmen aus der weiteren Vermarktung – etwa als Poster – ein.
Alberto Díaz selbst erhielt für die jahrzehntelange Vermarktung seines berühmten Fotos kein Geld. Erst als im Jahr 2000 der Wodka-Hersteller Smirnoff damit warb, klagte er und erhielt 50.000 USD Schadensersatz, die er für kubanische Kinder spendete
Decided to sell my Alberto set. In the end I decided against purchasing the doll this was meant for and none of of my other boys suit it so...
I am the second owner of this set. The box is a little dented but the contents are perfect condition. I've tried it on my doll Edan once.

Alberto Seveso redefines the term “body art” for Creative Tempest. Alberto Seveso takes the human body (generally attractive female bodies) and uses it as a canvas for his abstract designs, but since his work is digital, he is freed from the restraints of a tangible human form. He is able to disassemble like a puzzle, make translucent like a silk scarf held up to the sun, or replace like a Mr. Potato Head, parts of the bodies that he works with as the basis for his designs. Alberto, one of our site-mates. He's a hard-climbing Spaniard, and an incredibly nice guy. He didn't have a tent, just a sleeping pad and a bag. It seemed to work for him.
