Castle Mountain located in Banff National Park ( A UNESCO World Heritage Site} in the Canadian Rockies is approximately half-way between the town of Banff and the village of Lake Louise.
According to Wikipedia, the mountain's castle-like appearance is due to the ". . .result of erosive processes acting at different rates on the peak's alternating layers of softer shale and harder limestone, dolomite and quartzite." (ya, as if we didn't know).
