Fall colours in Edmonton, Alberta

For now the last two weeks, perhaps more, the coming spring weather has flocks of Canada Geese coming back to their northern homes. This couple are not quite sure about setting down roots yet - where is the water they saw in the brochure.

Autumn in the tree tops - Westmount, Edmonton, Alberta

Autumn shines - what a lovely time of year. One must take the fall season all in whilst it lasts and before the next season approaches. That said, I believe I will stay a bit longer on this side of the bridge. Take care 😊

St. Michael and All Angels church was built in 1910. The church was moved to Fort Edmonton Park in 1974.

OK, I'll have to get a closer look to see if these babies contain some rice - if not, I'll "BALE" out.

The mountain peaks In the center of the photo from left to right are Normandy Peak, Ardennes Peak, Rhine Peak and Elbe Peak.

Initially referred to as Kadoona Mountain by Mary Schaffer, the name was not formally adopted. The group of peaks was officially named in 1994, Ex Coelis, which is Latin for "Out of the Clouds".

Ex Coelis is the motto of the First Canadian Parachute Battalion, one of eight battalions which made up the Sixth British Airborne Division during World War II.

Out for a drive yesterday in an attempt to overcome boredom and came across this lovely cloud in the shape of a seahorse.

And why must there be at least three geese to make a gaggle?

Now why does a couple

not bother to haggle,

Nor go to the trouble

to be dubbed a gaggle.

Had to stop when I drove by this house - the reflection in the window jumped out at you.

View of The Mitre from the Plain of the Six Glaciers trail near Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Alberta ( A UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The Mitre is located at the head of the Lefroy Glacier between the extended ridge of Mount Aberdeen and Mount Lefroy.

The mountain peak was officially named The Mitre in 1893 due its resemblance to a Bishop’s mitre, a pointed headdress worn by bishops during church ceremonies.

The Mitre was first climbed in 1901.

Sow grizzly and her two cubs oh, perhaps 30 meters from the front entrance of the Jasper Park Lodge. Park Wardens were called upon and eventually convinced the family to move on and away from the human element.

Not sure this baby is in use anymore or is just there for looks; in any event it's cool.

Everyone had great suggestions. Even though I am a boy from the prairies, something about Rikx's suggestion struck a cord with me. Manulife Tower in Edmonton should change its' name to Marinelife Tower.
