A few evenings ago I went for a quick walk with the dog down to the waterfront. The sky was threatening rain so I felt the need to hurry. The sky was threatening rain so I felt the need to make some photographs! I wasn't disappointed with the results. Here's one of them.
After returning home, Heather and I went out to see the new Mission Impossible movie. Again, I was not disappointed. I love to hang up my intellect and critical faculties at the door of the cinema and just be entertained. Success!

Note the hoarding on the right advertising the Talbot Tagora, an unsuccessful executive model from the, by then, French owned Chrysler. Only about 20000 were ever made and according to Wikipedia only 1 UK registered vehicle remains on the road
Gill netter Ajax PZ36 moving into the lifting rig that takes vessels out of water and onto the slip at Macduff. It has come a long from Cornwall to be worked on so it must be a worthwhile job. The shed on stilts is part of the lifting rig.

By 1982 unrefurbished Class 50s were becoming thinner on the ground with only a year or so before the last example entered Doncaster Works, so original condition Hoovers were always appreciated when they turned up
In this case, 50 046 Ajax arrived with the 10:23 Manchester - Plymouth at Exeter St Davids
Ajax is elderly and loves to lie every day in one specific spot, near the street in front of his owners’ home.
The Ajax was put into production during the Belt War, following the capture of several Earth-loyal orbital facilities by Belter forces. Without the vast resources or sheer number of ships the Belters had at their disposal, Terran nationals decided the best course of action was to create a light strike craft capable of delivering the killing blow to heavier Belter vessels.
Thus, the deep-space interceptor. Built from several standardized components and mounting a heavy nuclear shaped charge as a main weapon, the 'Ajax' project was intended to be launched from a carrier(repurposed from Lunar mass drivers and NEO space-stations, propelled by jury-rigged Orion drives), manoeuvre using a small NERVA engine, and deliver its payload. The unmanned interceptors were also equipped with 8 anti-fighter missiles for use against lighter enemy combatants and guided countermeasures.

Very unusual for me: a midweek photo. It's just that I'm so excited and happy today. Dressing is my passion, but so is Ajax. Well done guys; you totally made my day!
