The main mosque in Ahmedabad is the Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque). It was commissioned by Ahmed Shah I for his private use and was completed in 1424. The yellow sandstone building incorporates material from demolished Hindu and Jain temples. This photograph is of part of the main prayer hall, which has 260 intricately carved columns and 15 domes.

An unique place for Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine in the natural beauty of rural ambience in the hustle and bustle of daily urban life is a place called RAJWADU. Rajwadu is a place in Ahmedabad and Swarnim Gujarat is famous in national and international circuit with the same hospitality, ambience and quality for the last 12 years…

Just outside one of the entrances to the Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque) is the tomb of the ruler who commissioned it, Ahmed Shah I; he reigned from 1411 to 1442 and was the founder of the city of Ahmedabad. The tomb was built by Ahmed's son and successor, Muhammad Shah, who is also buried there, as are other members of the dynasty. The building is notable for its exquisite lattice work stone screens (called 'jaalis'). As can be seen from this photograph, it is also a popular goat diner!

digital marketing company in Ahmedabad We understand one simple thing that all businesses are different. We at Izia try to understand the core of each company and design a tailor-made solution just for your business because we don’t believe in ‘One size fit all.’

Shot on Relief Road, Ahmedabad. This is the black and white version. Although I think I prefer it in colour overall, the monochrome makes the front rickshaw less distracting.

Other thoughts in hindsight on this shot: I think it would've been better with more depth of field, shot at a higher ISO. (This was 35mm at f/2, ISO 640).

Which do you prefer?
