The jumma masjid or Friday mosque of Ahmedabad was built in the 15th century by Sultan Ahmed Shah, the eponymous founder of Ahmedabad. With it's 260 pillars and exemplary Gujarati-Islamic architecture and stone tracery, it's considered to be the most beautiful mosque in India.
