Burned mountains on the California coast, south of Santa Barbara.

I was going to stop posting skiing pictures for a while but there has been massive nationwide interest and concern* regarding what happened as a result of the possible collision in my last picture. So here is just one more shot. Incidentally the cute snowboard lady had an incredibly photogenic smile. In fact I have never seen such a big grin on a crashing skier before (she grounded herself to prevent a collision). And robo-skier-kid still doesn't seem to have noticed that anything untoward had happened.
* well, soonerpa was curious
My mother took this photo. The three dogs have a habit of destroying their beds and then trying to look innocent...
From left to right: Ikuyo, Zelda, Charles (Charlie). A German shepherd, Doberman Pinscher, and Weimaraner, respectively. It's purely a coincidence that all three breeds we own are German in origin :)
This is my entry for the third round of the MOCOlypics over on MocPages where I was given the category of "Post Apoc." Here I have depicted what remains after an epic gun battle that took place outside a paritally collapsed building.
I'm not entirely certain where this was taken; most likely Gornji Vakuf, but possibly Mostar.

I'm sure everyone in East Preston and surrounding area knew about the car crash on Sea Road in the early hours of Monday morning, 03:15am approximately. I heard the idiot coming down the road doing around 70mph and before I could get to the window he was backing out of the crash zone and headed off down Sea Road and turned into Sea View road with the front of the Maserati scraping along the ground. The Maserati was later found abandoned.
What amazes me is how the Fiat didn't sustain any damage as the VW was originally parked in front of it outside the estate agents.
The offending vehicle was a high powered Black Maserati, most likely a sports coupe, it was hard to tell from my location as it was raining heavily and it had it's high intensity rear lights on causing much dazzle.

This will be the last of my ondoy disaster pics. tanay can never be the same without this establishment. FYI, the place where it is situated 1st collapsed during the 1960's ( will double check this later), 40 years later, the same thing happened. addtl info: a mother and her child were found buried beneath the rubbles. both wer tied to each other.
the only people who rejoice that this happened are the ones with lots of IOUs. hehehehe. no papel, no files, no utang.
Rena walked through the door, kicking it closed behind her. The resulting slam shook the wall, knocking askew the picture that hung there. She ripped off her coat and threw it across the room. It had all gone to hell...one minute she'd been completely in control...for once, the one with the upper hand. Then Forge ... she should have expected that betrayal. He did like his games. It was why she hadn't confided in him to begin with. Why she'd lied when he called. She started to tremble with rage as she looked around the room.
Hands balled into fists and she turned, her gaze falling on the vase. Before she could even think it was sailing through the room, crashing into the far wall. A scream of fury erupted from her and her hands found a book. There was a crash and the sound of glass hitting the concrete outside as the book sailed through the window.
Screams of frustration and fury filled the room as furniture was flung or tipped over. All of it had been for nothing. Oceania was gone, he'd lost her. She'd allowed a child to be kidnapped, hell, maybe even encouraged it. She wasn't even sure she was innocent of that now. She hadn't meant to, but she'd used the priest.
The moment she'd seen Forge she'd known it was all over. The game was up. She'd panicked and the priest had looked like a lifeline. She grabbed hold of him and in the ensuing struggle, nearly drowned them both.
And the girl...she knew what he'd do to her. She knew and let her go through with her little plan. It had been partly to send a message. The Sarcina don't do your dirty work. But mostly, it had been a means to an end. If Regan succeeded, Rena could protect the boy and send him home and use his kidnapper as a bargaining chip. It had seemed so logical and straight forward.
She dropped to her knees with a sob. She was becoming everything Damian said she was and more. His words rang in her ears. "You're the most dangerous person in this room, because you don't know what you're capable of." He was wrong...at least in part. She knew she was capable of being the monster she accused him of being. She was what he, and men like him and helped her become.
She started to rock, curled in a little ball on the apartment floor, laying there until the tears wouldn't come anymore. By the time the knock on the door came, she was completely numb, all of the emotion drained out of her.
Or Winter Wonderland, Reprise. Yep, I was wondering why I didn't just stay in the car and go to my nice warm house instead of taking a walk in the ice shrouded woods. This is what is left from the thunderstorms, snow, sleet, hail, rain, freezing rain and freezing drizzle we had a couple of nights ago. Gotta love Missouri where the only thing constant about the weather is the constant change....

This is the ruins area of an abandoned factory.. the trees you see are about 30FT or 9M tall.. the ground is pretty muddy revealing a multitude of animal tracks, some of which were giving us warning growls are we walked closer to the area..
The aftermath of the water balloon fight. Thankfully it was all cleaned up by students in a couple hours.
Cyclone Pat destroyed Aitutaki. Mama Kuraono Pakoti had just purchased and built a brand new roof for her house. Everything was destroyed, this is what was left of her house now.
