Thank you for looking closer!
Who needs water balloons at a pool party? Evidently, everybody, myself included. While trying to keep my camera dry, I also participated.

Indiana Northeastern GP-9H 5903 runs east at Hamilton, Indiana, the day after a massive winter storm blanketed the entire northern United States with rain, ice and record snowfalls. Not pictured here is the hi-rail running ahead of this move, stopping periodically to remove downed trees from the right of way. It took this duo over an hour to make the nine or so miles between Hamilton and Edon, OH.
Unfortunately, this pretty much sums up my visit to the INER. Besides an NS grain train loading at South Milford, downed trees all over the property meant I'd likely not run into anything else running…at least quickly.

Raindrops linger on fallen aspen leaves after an evening storm that dropped 1/2" of rain and hail. It left an aftermath of fallen leaves and pine needles, as well as shredding flowers and foliage in my garden.
Happy Weekend! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

Just minutes before, as I was the engineer of P42 #154 on the northbound Hoosier State, a semi hauling powdered cement pulled in front of me and we collided. The trailer was sliced in half and its contents coated my train and the surrounding area. The truck driver walked away as did I. October 28, 2014
Inside the snow shed at the end of Wellington, WA, where in 1910 ninety-eight people lost their lives when an avalanche blasted into the side of a train carrying passengers and sent them down a ravine. I heard that this place was haunted. I didn't see any ghosts, but there was a very calm unsettling feeling around here. I did however hear a lot of strange muffled scratching sounds throughout the snow shed, something I never hear when I am out in the forest.

Water settles around a hunting White-faced Heron (Egretta novaehollandiae) as it withdraws its bill after an apparently unsuccessful strike at a school of small fish.
Well, it was kind've going o.k. with the tree. This morning when I got up, this was the scene...argghh..will the tree make it until New Year's!!!

Seascape taken from Ayr, Scotland, looking out towards the Isle of Arran. The red and blue hues are courtesy of The Royal Air Force and The Red Arrows aerobatic display team who had just finished their display at the Scottish International Airshow.
I just loved the surreal colours in this scene, it was such an odd feeling looking out over the water with this light and colouring. Enjoy!
Scorched earth, dead leaves, the ants are already back and the bracken is trying to shoot. Nature does this on her ear after a bushfire. I hope we see this same result after the COVID-19 virus has done its worst.
A favorite haunt - if for no other reason that I pass by frequently and the light at sunset is always a bit different. In this case, the aftermath of an offshore thunderstorm muted the fading light into an orange glow.

After the incredible close cg show at dusk, a stormy evening followed.
The aftermath of the storm was as spectaculair as the beginning, with numerous lightnings crawling through the sky.
These mercs really ought to give up.
I am getting kinda tired of the HYDRA Kalashnikov and green barrel warehouse, time for something new, what do you guys think I should try to build?
