This evening I dragged my family out for our state-allowed daily walk. Half way through, our paths collided with George Plunkett's some 89 years earlier. Luckily, George had a far better view than I did of where the railway was carried over the Wensum by one of three splendidly-Victorian A-Frame braced-plate girder bridges along this line. The banks of the Wensum were well kept and navigable on foot, unlike today. I couldn't even see the footbridge that has since replaced the beautiful old railway bridge. The island is also long gone.

At a location known to the crews as the A-frame, due to a A-frame house just out of sight in the woods. The turn slowly continues towards Baldwin to hand off it's train to the Eagle crew. A few years back the road trains used to run out of Baldwin instead of Sparta, when a big train would come up from CSX we would, from time to time leave it at the A-frame due to there being no crossings for a few miles it could be left there with no issues.

Squamish now has a micro brewery for every 5000 people and I wouldn’t be surprised to see another one over the next 18 months by the looks of how packed these tap rooms are. Squamish only being 45 minutes from both Vancouver and Whistler is the perfect place to stop to let your passengers have a beer weather your coming or going to Whistler.
