The second sheerleg we ran into on our sheerleg spotting evening. This is the selfpropelled GPS Apollo, owned by GPS Marine from Sliedrecht.
The GPS Apollo is pretty simular to the Matadors we spotted earlier.
Maximum lift: 400ton (at 30meters)

The Casa Bahama Motel in WildwoodCrest NJ a few years before its demise in 2005. The original neon sign, long devoid of its tubes, had been painted a more appealing pink, yellow and turquoise.
new shower curtain, new sink, new toilet, replaced linoleum floor w/ tile & replaced part of wall w/ tile which means less wood, yay! Now to paint that dooky brown door.
After 3 nights of camping in Mt. Rainier National Park we definitely enjoyed the amenities at our A-frame cabin in Packwood that we rented through Airbnb. Post shower satisfaction! Photo by Al
This old Winky's has been turned into a cigarette outlet. There are tons of cigarette outlets in the state. I think West Virginia has lower cigarette taxes than Ohio, which draws people from right over the river.
Freedom Way, Weirton.
Missed posting this earlier this week, the back aisle of the classic A-frame Clayton Acme. Meat case and Deli along back wall.
Wooden A-frame racks or hjells with heads of skrei-codfish tied together while hanging air-drying to become stockfish. Laukvik fishing village and boats background-Austvagoya-Lofoten-Nordland-Norway.
Our little red shed is an A-frame structure built over an old concrete kid's swimming pool. The steps are still inside going down into the old pool. It was built for a potting shed. Sadly it is used for storing all the junk that won't fit into our garage at this time. I plan to clean it out and return it to it's former life as a potting shed soon!
Lara Dickens, aboard R/V New Horizon, operates the A-frame during the deployment of the Oozeki net for a mid-water trawl during the Scripps Institution of Oceanography SEAPLX expedition.
This A-frame (near Beltline/Webb Chapel) appears to be an old Whataburger, but .. I can't confirm it. It's now a Tacos Plus restaurant.
The South Tampa IHOP is often the conclusion of many late nights in South Tampa. It's nearly impossible to find a seat on weekend mornings or after the bars close at 3 AM. I stopped by fairly often back when I used to work behind this place.

Nothing strange about a great big Jesus and (I think) Mary on the front of a BBQ joint...nothing at all. Their eyes are mirrored, though, and THAT is very strange indeed.
UPDATE: Demolished.
Eau Claire, WI; I asked the folks inside and they said this was a gas station originally. I did see the obvious spots in the parking lot where gas pump islands had been filled in. But I suspect this was something else before that.
It's really, really big and it was really, really filthy, but nothing would stop Lily from playing! (That's Grandma in the background!)
A huge sign that is portable. You have always enjoyed our custom sandwich boards at your entry. Each double faced sign is constructed of durable MDO wood. We have added new Super Hinges for added strength and convenience. We offer three sizes: 2' x 4', 3' x 6', and 4' x 8'. Choose your choice of color and copy. There is no extra charge for a logo. Digital graphics are now available.
A-Frame signs come partially assembled to prevent breakage during shipping. All your maintenance man has to do is simply place the screws in the Super Hinge.

Grandparent's cottage, a redwood A-Frame built in the 60s. This is the most peaceful place on Earth... sometimes.
