Been playing around with some new LEGO A-frame plates. Cool stuff! See the whole write-up at www.dagsbricks.com/2014/01/lego-techniques-frames.html

Vacation Homes & Log Cabins book

Not sure what this is - maybe a DNR station or something?

I took this early in the morning. It must have been 5:50something. I am surprised at how sharp it came out. Especially since it was hand held, and with an iso of 200. I love my Yashica and how lovely its indoor and night photos come out. I should get more of these cameras!

We went to look at this cabin on Gilner Point with an Estate Agent. This is the back.

The chairs, table, & convertible crib are from Ikea.

Semi-abandoned a-frame along I-94 in Michigan.

I found several rolls of expired film from 1999 in a drawer and decided to do a little playing with one of my old film cameras. The images came out grainy, a bit foggy, and quite dusty -- just like I like 'em.

The Barony A Frame is a preserved headgear in East Ayrshire, Scotland, located west of Auchinleck. It was built in 1954 as part of the modernisation of the Barony Colliery, which had been opened in 1907.

The colliery closed in 1989, and in 1990 the winding engine houses, generating station and water-treatment works, as well as the A frame, were given listed building status, as category B listed structures.

It is the last remaining example of its type in Britain, and was restored in 2007 by the Barony A Frame Trust. Over £1 million was spent refurbishing the structure, including funding from Historic Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The A-frame was re-opened by Prince Charles, the Duke of Rothesay in January 2008.

Designed and built by the owners Carlos Zubieta and Tatiana Barhar in 2005. The home is approximately 2,000 square feet with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large open mezzanine that overlooks the dining room. 20’-0” high ceilings and surrounding walls of glass brings the southern sky and large mature trees right into the home.

Carlos Zubieta and daughter Sasha under the A-frame treehouse, constructed last summer. "When she and her friend set up a lemonade stand and had a garage sale to raise money to build a tree house, I had to take it seriously," Zubieta said. "We used all the scrap lumber saved from building the home and with the $80 collected from the lemonade and garage sale we bought all the hardware and paneling."

Continuing my Southern Arizona Adventure 2024 with a stop in Madera Canyon. This is stage 2 of 9. Only a little hiking, mostly sight seeing. This is a place I plan on revisiting, but as an overnight camping trip. I have to change from my normal hiking style to a birding style to appreciate this place.

Haiku thoughts

Beneath aged oaks,

Whispers of the canyon breathe,

Nature's quiet song.

Southern Arizona Adventure 2024,

A very odd looking Triangle shaped house. In Alpine areas houses are built with sloped roofs so that the snow does not build up, however no snow ever falls on Great Barrier Island
