The woman who owns this motel is sooo friendly. There's a bbq grill out back if you want to use it and a puzzle set up in the office if you want to do a puzzle. She's got the cutest little pug dog too.
Looking towards City Station. Just to the left is now Wickes and Wensum View housing development. this site is now occupied by a rather ugly footbridge. Apart from the track, bridge and furniture removal not a lot has changed. The span of the footbridge this picture was taken from now spans the dyke at ground level.
"Being Left Holding the Bag Isn't Always Such a Bad Thing."
Scan of a 2014 Whataburger Bag. Beloved by Texans, and found only in Southern States, the chain does hamburgers, chicken strips and biscuit-oriented breakfast items.
"Just Like You Like It" is the company's catchphrase. And, yes, real Texans still miss the "Whataburger Guy" who did the voiceovers for commercials. You can hear snips from these famous ads here: www.mc-j.com/work/whataburger/view/whataburger-guy-soundb...
The Percy Island A-Frame (The Percy Hilton) is situated on one of the most pristine and beautiful private beaches in Australia. The A-Frame is an open structure; it has the feel of a funky children's clubhouse. Swings, hammocks and other devices of entertainment, along with benches, tables and huge pit BBQ, suitable for roasting whole beasts, and everywhere there is signs and maritime memorabilia dating back to 1938. Some painted and decorated with great care, others very casual, but everywhere the names of passing boats and crews.
The A frame is justifiably famous

7 Days of Shooting – Week #5 (w/b 7 August) Outdoor Eating
Done with the disappointing trip to Nagarkot with no mountain views due to dense fog which was only getting more dense, the rest of the day today is only spent driving- from Nagarkot all the way to Pokhara, a good seven hours away. We made a pit stop on the way for a pee and a cup of tea, only to catch this scene of kids playing on an A frame rope swing. Of course thanks to the diminutive size of the kids, meaning a low height, the A frame looks like an X. I have been seeing pretty big A frame rope swings installed all around Nepal for the ongoing Hindub Vijayadashami festival, I got even more lucky with this double A -frame wooden one for kids, and with two kids on it, adding the human element- this was my first and last sighting of a kid sized one. Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra or Dashain is a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navaratri every year. It is observed on the tenth day in the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin or Kartik, the sixth and seventh month of the Hindu Luni-Solar Calendar respectively, which typically falls in the Gregorian months of September and October. Vijayadashami is observed for different reasons and celebrated differently in various parts of the Indian subcontinent. The festival also starts the preparations for Diwali, the important festival of lights, which is celebrated twenty days after Vijayadashami. (Kathmandu, Nepal, Oct/ Nov 2019)
This is the house Widespread Panic played their first show in back on February 1985. Tooks these photos for an article Flagpole is doing.
