„Preliminary Conversations in Augmented Aether” is developed by Claudia Schmitz & Nicola L. Hein in collaboration with CINETic & Augmented Space Agency: Ciprian Făcăeru, Sabin Serban, Florin Dumitru, Dan Făcăeru

It consists of an audiovisual real-time composition that springs from Hein’s and Schmitz’s long term and globally touring audiovisual projects such as UnStumm, Station and many more. In this project Hein and Schmitz are collaboration with 3 other exceptional artists working in sound and moving image in a telematic performance, connecting artists from Romania/USA, Mexico and Germany at the same time.

The audience will see and hear the recorded performance of the artists in an Augmented Realty, using the provided headphones and smartphones as AR glasses.

Aether San Francisco Opening Preview Architecture Prefab Design Talk

I've been aetherizing a lot of skyscrapers lately. Here's another one, but this time it is refracted in a rain drop.

There's a little moon of the left side of the skyscraper. This is another minimal aetherizer treatment. This shot came out of a discussion we had at work today about depth of field. The three elements are a bit of a trek apart ;-)

Taken during an After Hours Victorian Surgery Demonstration

 

[a] mock Victorian surgical demonstration presented within the original architecture of the old operating theatre of St. Thomas’s Hospital dated to 1822. Before the advent of anaesthesia, an operation had to be swift. Without hand-washing or antiseptics, the chance of later infection was high.

This is barn in the town of Southey, Saskatchewan. The town was named for the British poet, Robert Southey. It is a winter shot, so those are piles of frozen aether in the foreground.

Friday night trip to the capital especially to see some of the Light Festival. There are 50 in total but given the vast area of London, I only got to see 15 of them. Anyway, the Cambridge version is coming up again soon.
