In Sweden we have a tradition of lighting candles during Christmas, one candle every Sunday until Christmas Eve

A walk with a horse in a snowy country.

This year's Advent calendar has also the theme: "Snowflakes Everywhere".

Christmas days will alternate with indoor and outdoor scenes. Sometimes you will see one doll, sometimes a couple or a dolls with a children.

On the each advent day will be some christmas activity, which dolls will be they do. Every day in christmas scene will be one snowflakes.

3. Advent. Ein komisch-seltsam gesegneter Wandertag war das. Ausgangssperre. Nun kann die 13. Tür geöffnet werden.

Man kriegt die Weisheit mit riesigen Löffeln zu fressen. Eine geeichte Wasseruhr läuft heiß. Drei scheinbar wichtige Nachrichten werden beantwortet, zurück-, nicht durch-, geleitet. Zwei Pillen schluckt sie nicht. Man muss nicht alles haben.

Die 13. Fee äußert heimlich einen Wusch. Kniefälliges Bedanken beim hinter ihr stehenden Heer.

Wahre Liebe mag selten sein, wahre Freundschaft ist noch seltener.

This home-made advent calendar is a traditional Christmas decoration/activity in our house. I don't remember what year I made it, but it was a present for my wife years before we had kids. I used to fill it for her, and now we fill it for the kids... with candy, little trinkets and holiday event announcements each day.

The doorknob stones are from the Atlantic and the scallop shell "bushes" are from Cape Cod Bay. The Purple Christmas Day door decorations are sea-tumbled quahog shells. It is their natural color.
