My six favorite Polaroids.

100% Adobe Illustrator.

My version of Bubo - The Mechanical Owl.

Bubo was the name of a mechanical owl in the 1981 film Clash of the Titans.

Original Ray Harryhausen version below.

My vector.tutsplus.com tutorial of this illustration is now available here:-

Two foxy foxes footing a frolicsome foxtrot (whew, enough alliteration already!) and having a ball while dancing. I wanted this design to have a deco feel, hence the font (in blue), sharp outlines, and and curvy lines of my little foxes. I hope to suggest that potential users will enjoy dancing to Mozilla's tune. Good luck to all other contestants . . . some truly nice work by many gifted people and plenty of great ideas too! Created in Adobe Illustrator using colors sampled from official logo.( I'm treating this tshirt template as representing a small tshirt since we weren't given the dimensions of the template; this design can be scaled to 10' x 10" since everything here is vector artwork.)

It's time for some more of The Shop's unusual vector assets : the geometrical psychology diagrams. These were originally created as an attempt to "mathematically model human consciousness through geometric forms" in the late 1880s.

There are two main groups of assets: the first one, with mainly two dimensional diagrams, and second one, of more than two dimensions, that resemble flowers and crystals. I also added some random nuggets from the rest of the collection. The diagrams have that beautiful execution of late Victorian era scientific illustration, while also presenting an undeniable organic touch. The "three dimensional" group of assets also feature shading, and color highlights.

There are forty-five (45) assets altogether, carefully digitized, organized, and share in a variety of formats, with care. I would recommend using them as background elements, color scheme inspirations, or of course as the centerpiece of the project you're working on.

Curious about the beautiful, aged serif typeface I used for the previews? It's Appareo, created by Kimmy Design. You can find it on Creative Market, and you ought to check it out as well: https://crmrkt.com/7QWK1X

Illustration of a Curry & Rice recipe for They Draw and Cook. Of course mine includes some South African ingredients.... :)

This was a piece I did back in 2019 based off of Matt Carlson's impressive, "Lookout" artwork featured on Dribbble.com here: dribbble.com/shots/2571898-Lookout

This was my first real attempt at using scatter brushes in Adobe Illustrator. There were a few details I went back and fixed, so this is a slightly updated version.

Created in Adobe Illustrator; aircraft silhouette inspiration from a vintage Moroccan Airlines poster.

Frankenstein Paper Toy will be part of a big Halloween website update.

Design printed at Threadless

Another one of my favorite vintage travel posters by Joseph Binder.

I re-created this in Adobe Illustrator, mostly tracing a copy of his original. Font matching was particularly difficult. I finally settled on a combination of Brother XS, and Alternate Gothic No3 D.

Sketched on a Wacom tablet, this is a logo for a contest held for a comment code icon for the From an Artsy Fartsy Point of View group on Flickr. I thought a stylish lady with opera glasses was about as elegant an image as I could manage in a space 75 pixels by 75 pixels (the size the icon will be when in use). And it seems to me that this lady would have an artsy fartsy point of view through her opera glasses!

I've decided to start making a sort of comic strip once I finish the build I'm working on right now (It'll be done soon, I promise!) So I did a practice run to see what it would kind of look like. I did this using Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop. I might do one of these every week- it was pretty fun and simple.

This was something that I quickly made earlier today for an event we're hosting in August for RMAI Pastors within our district.

This is the screen graphic version of a flyer that had a lot more info, so I opted to upload the prettier version.

We've got a little bit before the event, so if you guys have any thoughts on how to improve this a bit, I'd appreciate the feedback!

Commemorative concert poster done for the band. Entirely Illustrator.

I was stuck on this poster for a while because I'm not a fan of the Kings of Leon and quite frankly, I tried hard to be, if only for the duration of this assignment.

I am pretty happy with how this turned out though. I used to think people with animal heads tacked on were kitsch in a bad way, but I think I pulled it off with enough style.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend tonight's performance due to class. Busy all day until 9:30 tonight...
