Came across this Adobe house when I was out for a ride its hard to believe its still standing, the bricks are made of clay and straw.

Before and after with Adobe Lightroom. Incredible results I think.

An old abandoned adobe house on the square of San Francisco de Asis Mission Church. Adobe has to be mudded annuallly. I think it's been a few years here. If these old walls could talk.

Earlier this year, I was featured by the Adobe Creative Cloud as one of their Creative Voices. As usual, I had Neil from Fly Home Freedom to come and cover my own BTS of the events.

ODC earth wind and fire

adobe is sunbaked earth, a common method of building in California. Tried to catch one of the 4 or 5 hummingbirds and the dozens of bees that attracted me to this scene...

Essentially, I have nothing in Creative Cloud storage per app, but Adobe somehow thinks I'm using effectively 20 GB. All support staff has said the issue is at Adobe and that the issue has been escalated to "senior staff" but ... nothing. They have not made any of the promised call backs or given any of the promised updates. They may be working on it, but as far as I can tell, I've been abandoned.

Wow, its been ages since I've uploaded anythng, I've got loads of shots I just am not particulaurly happy with them

So I went to the woods the other day along with evey, I've got proof of that aswell, it'll come later. I got loads of shots that I was happy with at the time, or at least what I thought they looked like. When I got them home I noticed loads of little distracting little details that just wrecked most of them and severe issues with colour and the sort, accompanied but a complete bllank of what to do with the good ones, so Im pondering whether to put more up....maybe tomorrow....anyways, Im rambling on as usual.

Processed in lightroom, split toning was used with a strong blue and green mixture that were desaturated. Slight sharpening to wall in GIMP while the trees and sun were unsharpened in lightroom.

Santa Fe is the second largest art market in the US - next only to New York City. Canyon Road in Santa Fe has become the best little place for art galleries. These galleries occupy houses that were built in Pueblo Revival style. Needless to say, they provided the best windows and adobe walls for my study this trip. New Mexico adobe walls are very colorful, and yet it has an earthy look and feel to it. Whenever I am in New Mexico, I make it a point to shoot some of these walls as an exercise to retrain my mind on simplicity in compositions. The elements that are usually in play are contrasting colors, shapes, and textures. On this trip to New Mexico, I deliberately paid attention to the negative space to improve my compositional skills. I will be posting several images. I hope you like them.

Playing around with Adobe firefly A.I.

Just by typing in a description to get this from nothing.

Its incredible and mindblowing what AI can do.

I don't think this will replace my camera but a lot of fun to do.

We - my younger sister and I - had just arrived. It was her first visit to Los Cabos at the tender age of 52. A long time to wait to go to a country with more World Heritage sites than all of the rest of North and South America combined. With little light remaining, I arranged my camera's settings, put it on a ledge at the end of this walkway, and hoped for the best....

A tradition of Adobe creators, who cook the mud, and make little pieces of supports and hope.

And a lot of supports makes great structures of happiness.

Adobe security fence encircling the old Fort Deseret near Delta, Utah. Originally built as defense against the Pahvant Indians during the Blackhawk Indian Wars of 1865. It was built from straw and adobe mud in 18 days by 98 men. When built it was 10 feet tall with a base of 3 feet tapering to 1 1/2 feet at the top with a total length of 550 feet.

Alonzo H. Russell Home constructed from Adobe mud brick. Grafton Ghost Town.

Grafton is a ghost town, just south of Zion National Park in Washington County, Utah. Grafton is said to be the most photographed ghost town in the West, it has been featured as a location in several films, including 1929's In Old Arizona—the first talkie filmed outdoors—and the classic Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. By 1890 only four families remained. The end of the town is usually traced to 1921, when the local branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was discontinued. The last residents left Grafton in 1944. The nearest inhabited town is Rockville, which now includes the Grafton ghost town inside its legal boundaries. -- Courtesy Wikipedia

Tubac Presidio State Park

Corrugated metal, railroad ties, wooden boards, adobe bricks and stones of various sizes were combined in a haphazard way to construct and maintain this old barn. Now gone since this image of it was made with my D70 nine years ago, the space has been cleared and a new home is being constructed on the property.

Photographed on FS Road 351 on the way to the Gilman Tunnels in the Jemez.
