Came across this Adobe house when I was out for a ride its hard to believe its still standing, the bricks are made of clay and straw.

I am having way too much fun, now that my camera is back!

Was sent out: March 13th_returned to me on May 24th!

worst service ever!

The Tombs of the Nobles, on the West Bank of the Nile at Aswan are of significant ‎importance as they give us the chance to know the history of this section of ‎Egypt during the Old and the Middle Kingdoms ' periods.

Although it is among the less visited monuments in ‎Upper Egypt, it has some wonderful ancient art and a noteworthy chronological ‎importance of the Middle and the Old Kingdoms.

The wall paintings inside the Tombs of the Nobles are wonderfully alive and they ‎display the daily life activities of the ancient Egyptians in a magnificent masterpiece ‎of art.

The most important and beautiful examples are ‎the tombs of Harkhuf, Sarenput II, and the tomb of Sabni and Mekho.

Detalle constructivo de la Ciudadela de Chan Chan, Trujillo, La Libertad, Perú

Funny how light can sometimes be warm and cool and reach a stage where they are quite different and distinct just how it was here.

I was hoping to show my first image with a new Canon 5d Mark 3 body. However, because I shoot all my images in RAW, my version of Lightroom 3 could not identify the new DNG files produced by this new camera body. Damned annoying. Apparently when they introduced Lightroom 4, they stopped supporting the previous version, so any new camera body that came out needed downloads to convert the RAW files. So having downloaded all the new stuff, I still can't access my new 5d files via Lightroom3. So you then have to download a DNG converter from Adobe, what a bummer ................Drat and Double Drat

Anyway this was taken with my old 7d that I took along as a backup, thankfully

Earlier this year, I was featured by the Adobe Creative Cloud as one of their Creative Voices. As usual, I had Neil from Fly Home Freedom to come and cover my own BTS of the events.

New Mexico adobe walls are very colorful, and yet it has an earthy look and feel to it. Whenever I am in New Mexico, I make it a point to shoot some of these walls as an exercise to retrain my mind on simplicity in compositions. The elements that are usually in play are contrasting colors, shapes, and textures. On this trip to New Mexico, I deliberately paid attention to the negative space to improve my compositional skills. I will be posting several images. I hope you like them.

Santa Fe is the second largest art market in the US - next only to New York City. Canyon Road in Santa Fe has become the best little place for art galleries. These galleries occupy houses that were built in Pueblo Revival style. Needless to say, they provided the best windows and adobe walls for my study this trip. FotodioX Pro ZE-FX(RF) Adapter

We - my younger sister and I - had just arrived. It was her first visit to Los Cabos at the tender age of 52. A long time to wait to go to a country with more World Heritage sites than all of the rest of North and South America combined. With little light remaining, I arranged my camera's settings, put it on a ledge at the end of this walkway, and hoped for the best....

A tradition of Adobe creators, who cook the mud, and make little pieces of supports and hope.

And a lot of supports makes great structures of happiness.

An older photograph with some Photoshop manipulation.

San José de Gracia Son.

Adobe security fence encircling the old Fort Deseret near Delta, Utah. Originally built as defense against the Pahvant Indians during the Blackhawk Indian Wars of 1865. It was built from straw and adobe mud in 18 days by 98 men. When built it was 10 feet tall with a base of 3 feet tapering to 1 1/2 feet at the top with a total length of 550 feet.

Tubac Presidio State Park

Corrugated metal, railroad ties, wooden boards, adobe bricks and stones of various sizes were combined in a haphazard way to construct and maintain this old barn. Now gone since this image of it was made with my D70 nine years ago, the space has been cleared and a new home is being constructed on the property.

Photographed on FS Road 351 on the way to the Gilman Tunnels in the Jemez.
