The 365 Toy Project: day 8
It's only his third day and Viktor is still adjusting to his new surroundings. As he explores my room in his grave, somewhat haughty stance, I can practically hear what he's thinking: "Mmm, there are hundreds of books... And 19th century drawings on a crimson velvet background... But also My Little Ponies, and boxes full of Barbie doll clothes. What kind of person lives here?"
... I'd better not tell him just yet that the drawings are just reproductions on a background of cheap self-adhesive film. Just in case.

I'd say this was by luck, that we found this little patch of flowers along the coast of Cambria during the end of the winter months, smells like spring isn't it?
A little description on how the shot was captured.
Camera setting:
- ISO100 (my normal landscape preference)
- F11 (my preference has always been F18 and above for landscape, but because of the windy condition here, i had to opt for the wider aperture)
- 0.4s (which i obviously the case, to reduce blurring of the flowers due to windy condition)
-Focal length at 12mm
Gears:
Camera = Canon 60D
Lens = Canon 10-22mm F3.5-F4.0
Filter = Singh-Ray 3-stops Reversed GND, hand-held
Tripod = Gitzo Carbon 6x 4 Section G-Lock Explorer Tripod with off-centered ball head
Accesories = Pixel Remote Control
Post Processing:
1. Adjust Color temperature and WB in raw and then convert to 16bit Tiff.
2. Add luminosity mask to brighten dark area.
3. Add linear curve to make foreground pop!
4. Slight vibrancy increase.
5. Selective sharpening and add detail to foreground.
6. Compress to JPEG.

This was a water powered machine with two spindles. A sensor on the form provided would cause a blade to cut away at the musket stock on the other spindle. This was a major step in making weapons with interchangeable parts.

Manually adjusting the heights of the bookshelves was the most satisfying activity I’ve done in a long time.
That EQ circuit doesn't have a master volume, so you kick in the EQ and it can boost or drop the level depending on how it's set. So I put a rear panel master volume on the EQ. Because I can never leave stuff alone.
