A lovely spring morning in Grantchester.
The image is built up in a number of layers:
- lowest is just a very blurred colour version
- then a monochrome version, dark brown and white, burnt in
- a texture layer, old tatty brown paper, colourised green
- a light version.
- a layer with the lightest details picked out with Topaz Adjust and layered on top.
- some layers to desaturate the edges of the picture

I loved the original image so I thought I'd have a bit of fun with it this morning
I did all kinds of adjustments to this to pull out the color and texture of the image. After I did that I applied a slight bulge and then threw the wave filter at it. I removed the effect of the wave filter on the circular perimeter to tone it down a bit. I love the resulting wave on the ground. It seems to tie in well with the spiral trimwork.

My chiropractor's adjustment table -- get on vertical, and it lowers to horizontal so he can "crack" my back. I'm getting much better now, but this is still part of my treatment.
