so more MOTUC have arrived. in the guise of Entrapta, Eldor,Faker and Rio blast. kinda annoyed my eldor is missing his hood :(

Left over from Halloween? Keeping out the cold? Getting ready to paint? Curtain call? Just wondering why this house in Ladd's Addition was under cover.

I wanted to make a new addition to my pullip family so here she is, a Puki.

I am still not sure about her, since dals are not my style, but I thought I'll give this girl a chance and we will see how things will go

In addition to the ice, I wanted to show the proximity of the fountain to the cars of the city.

Most of us would agree that the fountain's basin ought to be brightly painted in light blue. Right now it looks like it is filled with dirty riverwater.

Garden water features are an excellent addition to a garden. They can add that finishing touch to your outdoor space, develop a sense of calm and relaxation in your garden, and they could even be good for the plants and wildlife, depending on the type of water feature you choose.

Things To Consider About A Water Feature

The Water Feed

The most important thing about a water feature is – you guessed it – the water! But where will it come from? The first thing you need to consider before setting up your feature is where it’s going to go and how close that is to your water supply. You don’t want to have to dig up your whole garden.

How The Water Feature Is Powered

If you’ve chosen a small water feature, you might be able to get away with solar power to create the pressure that carries the water. If so, make sure your water feature sits somewhere in your garden that normally gets plenty of sun.

If you’ve got a larger garden water feature, it’s probably going to need electricity to run it properly. In this case, you need to ensure you have access to water and electricity in the same place, which can be trickier.

The Space Available In Your Garden

Depending on the size of your garden, you’re going to need to select a water feature that’s proportionate. There’s no point buying a tiny water feature in a large garden – you’ll never notice it. Similarly, having a giant water feature in a tiny garden will look very odd.

Try to set the water feature so it takes up a corner of your garden – enough to make it a ‘feature’ but not enough so that you can’t fit in foliage, a seating area, and other garden furniture around it. You want to be able to sit out there in your garden and admire the water feature.

The surroundings of your feature are important to its upkeep too. If you’re thinking of placing your water feature under a load of trees or next to any foliage, it’s more likely to grow algae and you’re probably going to see a ton of bird poop floating in there too. It’s great for the local wildlife, but it might not look the best. Try to keep on top of leaves and dirt that falls into the water.

The Style Of Your Garden

What type of garden do you have? Is it modern and metallic? A Japanese paradise or a honeysuckle cottage? Always ensure you select a garden water feature in keeping with your style. If you have a cottage, perhaps a stone basin will work best, or if you have a modern home, perhaps a metallic structure may fit in with your style.

Sound The Water Feature Makes

Always ensure you like the sound of your water feature. It seems odd, but if you don’t like how the water sounds when it trickles through, it’ll put you off sitting outside. If it’s just a trickle, it might get a little annoying, but if it’s gushing like a tap, it’s not relaxing at all. Aim for somewhere in the middle.

Cleaning The Water Feature

Before you commit to the setup of your water feature, make sure you’ve considered how to clean it. A water feature will need a thorough clean every few months, so make sure it’s easy to drain the water and get it back in there afterwards too.

Water features are beautiful, but most of the time they’re quite technical pieces of equipment. You should always ensure a perfect cycle of clean water through the system. Addition, Bowery Savings Bank, 110 East 42nd Street, New York, New York (William Louis Ayres of York and Sawyer : 1931 - 1933)

This addition was built in 1925. Its proportions aren't in line with the original building. The windows aren't as tall, and the colour of the stone doesn't quite match.

When one Ferrari F40 disappeared from the 90s GT grid, I didn't foresee this 575 GT1 car taking its place. Shame it was misfiring so badly!

My favorite addition to the original building a beautiful example of the International Style.

The building has been added to several times in 1997 the Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi added a massive wing greatly expanding public space.

to the Funny Hat family

The addition is complete. The first and second floors have been extended eight feet. The new porch is on the left, the size of the room above has been doubled and the right side addition has been covered with a stone face. The porch decking material is composite and the railings PVC. The project was designed by the owner and drawn by John M. Ransone, Builder. The project was constructed by John M. Ransone, Builder.

How you know it's been a good day.

The latest addition to Caledonian MacBrayne's fleet - several years late and hundreds of millions of pounds overbudget and delivered in November 2024 - visited the Western Isles in the first few days of January 2025 for berthing and endurance trials to assess her possibilities as a future relief vessel on both the Ullapool to Stornoway and Uig Triangle route.

She berthed overnight at Stornoway on 3 January, and carried out berthing trials there as well as at Lochmaddy and Tarbert (Harris) before moving onto Ullapool for overnight berthing, and testing that linkspan the next morning before returning south. Trials at Uig (Skye) were not carried out due to further construction works there that the Highland Council call "port authority restrictions". She will likely visit there for trials another time in the future.

She is due to enter service on the Troon to Brodick service she was built to serve on 13 January, although Ardrossan still requires significant rebuilding to accommodate her.

I managed to photographer her at both Stornoway and Tarbert, as shown here. She certainly looks to be a very impressive vessel in spite of the controversy surrounding both her and Glen Rosa's procurement process. I look forward to my first sailing on her.

This addition has a 3 car garage above which is a very large loft. At the back of the garage is a raised work area, the entrance to the storm shelter, and a stairwell up to the loft. An additional double wide garage is part of the main house to the right for a total of 5 spaces.

The top floor of this building was just added this year (you can distinguish the newer section by the windows.) The other roof top photos in this set were taken from the roof of this building.

A few additions to the set I put up a few hours ago.
