Built in 1892 and reconstructed with the addition of two floors atop the roof after a fire in 1916, this Renaissance Revival-style building houses the Lafayette Hotel and Gun Room Restaurant, and was expanded with a rear addition in 1936. The building is clad in red brick with a stone base, arched bays on the first floor, a curved corner at the intersection of the building’s two principal facades, iron balconies at the second and third floors, brick corbeling, and a simpler rear addition clad in red brick. The building is a contributing structure in the Marietta Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, and expanded to its present size in 2001. Today, the building remains in use as a hotel.
Stephanie's playroom will have a sliding door to the back yard. We may or may not extend the deck at this time.
