Angela Foster's addition to Wilson's NIWA buildings at Greta Point in Wellington.
This building works extraordinarily well in the context of the heavily structured concrete buildings that form the surrounding campus. This appears as a lightweight jewel that contributes to the overall composition of the campus through material contrast, yet consistency in terms of its honest expression of materials and construction, and, the axial and circulatory extension of relationships set up in the original design (with the timber outbuildings) - features, which to me, make it every bit as brutalist as the original buildings.

DOT Art partnered with the NYC Commission on Human Rights (CHR) to present a 20 panel Art Display Case Exhibits installation along Water Street between Pine Street and Maiden Lane and Gouverneur Lane between Water Street and Front Street in Manhattan. Titled, “I Still Believe in Our City,” the exhibition, by CHR Artist in Residence, Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya, celebrated the strength of New York’s Asian Pacific Islander communities amidst a rise in violent attacks nationwide. As the Artist in Residence at the NYC Commission on Human Rights, Amanda exhibited numerous art installations throughout the City in partnership with multiple City agencies and private partners, depicting Asian Pacific Islander New Yorkers filled with courage, conviction and community spirit. The prints featured text in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog and Vietnamese and showcased the significance of New Yorkers standing together in solidarity against hate and discrimination. Cathedral of Wiener Neustadt
Choir with high altar
View into the nave
The Cathedral of Wiener Neustadt (also: Liebfrauendom) is a in the core late Romanesque building in Wiener Neustadt in Lower Austria.
The Roman Catholic Cathedral, at that time still parish church, was in 1279 in honor of the Saint Virgin Mary and Saint Rupert consecrated. From 1468 to 1785 it was cathedral of the bishopric of Wiener Neustadt.
Architectural History
The location and orientation of the cathedral is part of the medieval city planning. Its axis (long house) intersects the north and west side right in the middle and shows to where on Pentecost Sunday (May 24, 1192) the sun has risen. This date corresponds to the day on which Duke Leopold V by Emperor Henry VI. has been invested with the Styria. So this event was immortalized in the ground plan of the city. A year later, on Pentecost Sunday, 1193 (May 16), the choir was also oriented to the rising sun and staked out the ground plan of the cathedral from the portal point P. The location of the portal point was defined as the intersection of two straight lines, namely the axis of the nave with the conjunction line between the staking-out point of the City A at the main square and the north-west corner of the city (Reckturm). The points A and P today by labeled brands spatially precicely are made recognizable. Due to the different orientation days, the striking buckling of the axis in the cathedral between nave and choir, which is facing the south, can be explained. It was in the construction of the Gothic choir as "sacred line" from the Romanesque building taken.
In 1207, the former parish rights of the mother parish of the parish church of saint Nicholas in Lanzenkirche were transmitted to Wiener Neustadt. At about the same time began the construction of the parish church, which originally consisted of the present nave and the west towers. Instead of the Romanesque apse was in the 14th Century a transept and a choir in the Gothic style built. In addition, the vestry was added. End of the 15th Century the cathedral was equipped with life-size wooden statues of the 12 apostles of Lorenz Luchsperger. A remarkable model of this group of Apostles is preserved in the parish church Hausmannstätten.
From 1588 to 1630 was Melchior Khlesl Administrator of the Diocese of Wiener Neustadt. He donated the early Baroque pulpit. The late Baroque high altar with the high altarpiece of Gianbettino Cignaroli representing the Assumption of Mary was consecrated in 1776.
After several earthquakes, the 64 meter high towers in the 19th Century became dilapidated. In 1886, they were demolished and after the old plans under the direction of the Viennese architect Richard Jordan from 1892 to 1899 rebuilt.
From 1975 to 1999, the entire cathedral first under bishop Florian Kuntner, then under provost Heinrich Hahn was completely renovated.
Fire 2012
On 6th March 2012 due to arson in a side chapel (former baptistery) a fire broke out which completely destroyed an old pew, the in the chapel placed harvest crown and a Nativity scene. The fire brigade succeeded to prevent the spread of flames to the roof truss. Due to the heavy smoke generation and use of extinguishing water, the cathedral was severely affected. The damage in the church amounted to more than a million euros, so had, among other things, the entire cathedral organ to be disassembled in the smallest items and cleaned. For the renovation work the cathedral was closed for six months, as default venue served at this time the suburban church of St. Leopold. On 20th April 2012 it was announced that the 15-year-old arsonist was taken.
At the trial, however, the accused denied the arson.
On 21st November 2012 the youth was sentenced to 20 months conditional imprisonment.

After four months and a very long story, I finally (FINALLY!) received the signed U2 Joshua Tree album I had purchased back forever ago.
The sellers restored it reasonably well, gave me a good discount since it was so damaged after it's first shipment, and even threw in four fantastic rock art posters for free.
My office is finally coming together.

I was an apprentice homebrewer last weekend. We followed the grand cru recipe from "The New Complete Joy of Homebrewing" by Charlie Papazian. Lucky for me Scott knew exactly what he was doing, as I had not a clue.

The game is set in the world of Conan the Barbarian, with the custom playable character being rescued by Conan, beginning their journey. Early access versions of the game were released in early 2017, officially leaving early access on May 8, 2018. The most basic premise of Conan Exiles is survival in the fictional prehistoric Hyborian Age. Player characters begin convicted of various crimes, sentenced to death, and are crucified under the scorching desert sun. The player is rescued by Conan, however, and as an exile must now navigate a harsh desert landscape, appropriately titled The Exiled Lands. Though large, this was initially the only biome available for exploration. A later update added a biome called The Frozen North, which added new elements to build, new armors and a whole new land to explore. It also added Star metal which is used to build strong armor, and better tools and weapons. An additional biome, The Highlands, was added in 2017. A high-level Volcano area followed in Q2 2018 in the northern-most region of the game map. This newest addition also added Obsidian, used to create powerful tools and weapons rivaling their Star Metal counterparts. According to Funcom community manager, Jens Erik, the finished game is around 53 km2 🎧 Production Music courtesy of: Ben Sounds: www.bensound.com Epidemic Sound: www.epidemicsound.com ARK Playlists: Ark Season 9 - goo.gl/fZk9Vv Ark Season 8 - goo.gl/8kfHsg Ark Season 7 - goo.gl/dAh25p Ark Season 6 - goo.gl/rt9reO Ark Season 5 - goo.gl/mFf6gT Ark Season 4 - goo.gl/6f1awY Ark Season 3 - goo.gl/CbpjUf Ark Season 2 - goo.gl/WtJGvh Ark Season 1 - goo.gl/a70cLs Subnautica Playlists: Subnautica Season 1: goo.gl/wGmVFU Subnautica Season 2: goo.gl/zbZXUm Destiny 2 Playlists: Titan Playthrough: goo.gl/aZHCW9 Osiris New Dawn: Osiris New Dawn Season 1: goo.gl/QaU4Cv Osiris New Dawn Season 2: goo.gl/k42GEG 👉 Social Media 👈 🔥 Facebook: www.facebook.com/theofficialnoob 📲 Twitter: twitter.com/TheNoobUTube ☎️ Discord: discord.gg/R6CzVh3 🌍 Web: thenoobofficial.com Groups that help YouTubers: ☎️ Dysfunctional Gaming: goo.gl/vW7u4a ☎️ Talentsy: goo.gl/QfsGwv The Idiot Brigade 🎮 Slayer Vs Gaming: goo.gl/ruk5SH 🎮 Nightmaaron: goo.gl/UtXRUK ️ TheNoob Official: goo.gl/qUMci5 🌍 Web: theidiotbrigade.wordpress.com Thank you so much for watching my video, I really hope you enjoyed it.
In addition to railroads another interest of mine is unrestored classic cars from the 1960s on up that are in the wild and not at car shows or in museums.
I came across this rare bird-a turbo Trans Am-which was only built in the 1980 and 1981 model years. I love the mean looking rectangular headlamps and the hood scoop with the display lights facing the driver.

In addition to the wing work I added a new tail plane which linked the original which was split into two halves. The aircraft now looks like a P38. But a bit to stubby, the short wings just will not match the new high altitiude engines.
The latest additions to my selection of spectral lamps, these have small quartz discharge tubes with no starting electrodes; hence they require an external ignitor to start.
Yet another addition to the collection, the Toys 'R' Us exclusive Black Queen figure, a variant of the recent Emma Frost/White Queen figure, with a different head sculpt.
