Creado en memoria del día de la muerte de San Ginés, actor romano torturado y decapitado en el año 286 por parodiar en una comedia, ante el emperador Diocleciano, una ceremonia de bautismo considerada blasfema. En algunos países latinos se hace extensiva la mención en este día también a las actrices.

Un actor permite soñar y sentir, generar emociones y sensaciones a través de personajes y de historias con su capacidad para transformarse en otras personas. Muchos provocan el amor y el odio de sus admiradores e incluso sirven de modelo para nuevas generaciones.

The pilot stage of Actors of Urban Change has come to an end, and yet it is the beginning of a beautiful friendship since Actors has already become a vivid network of commited people.

From May 8 to 11, the Participants of the first generation and local guest from the participating cities came again to Berlin to celebrate and show their achievements during the Closing Ceremony in the representative office of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

This was following in depth workshops, evaluating the respective developments within the teams, projects and the program, which were carried out on the premises of the ZKU - Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik.

Getting back to real urban challenges, May 10, was filled with three field trips in different districts of the city to recontextualize the Berlin experience.

On 15 and 16 September 2018, ArtRwanda - Ubuhanzi had its first road trip auditions in the Northern Province, Musanze district.

Musanze auditions were attended by 271 contestants, who displayed their talents to a panel of judges, in the following categories: Plastic Arts, Dance and Music, Fashion, Acting and Drama, Cinematography and Photography, and Literature.

The panel of judges was composed by: Mr Daniel Semivumbi - Singer, Mrs Sandrine Isheja Butera - Radio host, Mr Moses Turahirwa - Fashion Designer, Mr Kennedy Mazimpaka - Actor and Film Director and Mr Jean Marie Vianney Kabakera - Artist in Plastic Arts.
