Isolated, alone and socially awkward but with an underlying capability of violence, TONY is an unusual and unforgettable character brought to the screen by first time feature director Gerard Johnson.
Written and directed by Johnson, this dark, brutal and bleakly amusing psychological thriller was part of the official selection for the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2009 and has already drawn favorable comparisons to John McNaughton's seminal Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.
This alarming cinematic anti-hero is played exceptionally by lead actor Peter Ferdinando who went through an extreme physical transformation to capture the essence of TONY. Externally TONY is geeky and unhealthy which ensures his moments of rage remain chilling and shocking.
Shot entirely on location in London, the city acted as an additional character in the film, both beautiful and deadly especially when accompanied by a delicate, occasionally pulsating score from the reclusive Matt Johnson, AKA The The.

Richard Armitage
Richard Armitage (born August 22, 1971) is an English actor. Born in Leicester, he attended Pattison College in Coventry, then studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). His first major role was in the BBC drama Sparkhouse (2002). After a variety of supporting roles in the TV productions of Between The Sheets, Cold Feet (Series 5), and Ultimate Force (Series 2), he landed his first leading role, that of John Thornton in the BBC drama North and South. It was this role that immediately won him an enthusiastic following among female viewers. In 2005, he was seen in Macbeth, as part of the BBC's ShakespeaRe-Told series and in ITV's The Golden Hour. Recently he starred in the BBC's The Impressionists, in which he played the young Claude Monet. He will next be seen in the upcoming BBC series Robin Hood, in the role of Guy of Gisbourne.

Series of actors' headshots taken for a friend. Most of these we're shot with two external canon 430EX speedlites strobed, one through a softbox umbrella (http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/prod1873.htm) and the other through just a regular shoot-through (http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/prod6210.htm).
A bit more goes into this than you think, there are rules: the shot can't be too much of a portrait but should still show personality. Also the shot has to be an 8x10, which is a ratio of 1:1.25 unlike the camera's natural ratio of 1:1.5 so there's a lot of cropping to do in post.
