Main light is a speedlight through a Honly Traveller 8 softbox pointed down and slightly in front of her face, on a voice activated light stand with Magic Arm extending his reach a couple of feet, camera left.
Fill light is an on-camera speedlight, pulled back about 2 stops, through a Lumiquest Softbox III, tilted up about 45 degrees, to make sure it triggered the main flash.
This combo offered enough light control what little background detail there was was easily burned to black in post.

Activated charcoal is the primary anti-cavity and tooth whitening ingredient found in all these pastes.
Activated charcoal is a slightly rough ingredient, and thus most activated charcoal toothpaste products will be excellent choices if you have sensitive teeth.
Some exceptions will be toothpaste products that have soothing oils or other ingredients which can alleviate the rough effect of charcoal grains.

Light Activated Shutter design Version 2 with a little pre amp to reduce hysteresis and allow level setting. It works in the house but will it do the job in the field?
To set it up all the adjustments are put centre. At the activation low low level 'level1' is adjusted until the shutter just opens. After setting the activation level the 'gain' is adjusted so there is a suitable difference between the dark activation (shutter open) and the light activation (shutter closed). Level 2 adjustment can tweak the low light activation but can only be used over a small part of its middle range. The gain adjuster can only be used over a short range due to design limitations. To overcome the gain limitation the level 2 adjustment needs to be low impedance and the gain adjuster should not be tied to 0V.
Alternatively the pre amp could be replaced with a positive feedback hysteresis amplifier.

Des Moines Public Schools will activate our summer meal program on Thursday, March 26 to provide meals for students during the Coronavirus shutdown. In the meantime, two community partners - the Des Moines Area Religious Council and the Food Bank of Iowa - are providing food for students and their families at schools throughout the city.
Pizza Ranch of Urbandale donated nearly 100 pizzas, so volunteers from Des Moines Refugee Support dispersed the pizzas for deliveries around the city at Moulton Elementary School on Wednesday March 18th.
These little things are pretty fun stocking stuffers. A spinning ring of LEDs alternate and create shifting colour patterns. I saw them for $10 at Gumps in SF, and later at the "San Francisco" joke/gag store chain in Canada.

A South Carolina National Guardâs CH-47F Chinook, a heavy-lift helicopter configured with an Extended Range Fueling System (ERFS), also referred to as the "Fat Cow," and its aircrew assigned to Detachment 1, Company B, 2-238th General Support Aviation Battalion, 59th Aviation Troop Command from Greenville S.C., stages its base of operations in support of Hurricane Matthew recovery efforts at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, Eastover, S.C., Oct. 10, 2016. The Strategic Air Command arrived at RAF Alconbury on 1 October 1982 when the 17th Reconnaissance Wing (17th RW) was activated. The 17th RW was assigned to SAC's Eighth Air Force, 7th Air Division. The operational squadron of the 17th RW was the 95th Reconnaissance Squadron, flying the TR-1A, a tactical reconnaissance version of the Lockheed U-2. In 1992 all TR-1s were designated U-2Rs.
The arrival of the U-2 led to a large remodelling of the northern section of the airfield to accommodate these aircraft and their specialised mission. Work included the construction of five prefabricated ‘Ready Sheds’, thirteen extra-wide hardened aircraft shelters, a squadron headquarters, a massive Avionics and Photography Interpretation Centre, and new concrete aprons and taxiways. In addition, in order to ensure that the 17th Reconnaissance Wing would always have a command post for its TR-1A aircraft, a nuclear-hardened command post facility was constructed with its own power plant, communications facilities, air supply, and decontamination facility, to help the wing continue operations during a nuclear war. During its operation, it was officially known as Building 210, but was better known by its nickname, 'Magic Mountain'. It was closed in 1991, is now open to the public under the care of English Heritage. It has been refurbished, with plans for it to be used as an emergency facility in the event of a natural disaster.
