Another errand for @laura.j66 translates to another bike ride. Had to go to Salmo to exchange one of her trees that didn’t make it. Decided to head over to Rossland after and explore something new. Chose the Malde Creek area and The Flume was the first trail on the list. It was a super fun ride with some old school stunts through and old growth forest, the climb back out was a bitch though.

An example of a high definition digital video camera. This wearable camera allows consumers to record point-of-view (P.O.V.) sports and action videos and still images on a microSD card up to 64 GB.
The package includes the 74g Hero3+ camera, waterproof housing to 40m, high capacity Li-ion battery, Wi-Fi remote, and assorted mounts and hardware.
At the heart of this camera is a Sony 12MP Exmor-R imaging sensor, Ambarella A7 single chip H.264 video compression codec, and an objective consisting of an f/2.8 fixed aperture six-element wide-angle glass lens.

New toy... What do you do if you want an action camera but don't want to spend the big dollars for a GoPro? You get one of these: an Akaso V50X. It does 4k, 2.7k, 1080p, and 720p with image stabilization. I'll post an unboxing video soon on my YouTube channel.
This trail was a sweet accident. Once I finished Andreas’ I still wanted to hit something before rejoining the fam in town so I thought Moby Dick would fit the bill perfectly. Too bad I didn’t have more time because it was a super fun trail I would have loved to try again after getting a feel for it. Next time.

Some mods I made with my magnetic mount I adapted from a Harbor Freight suction cup mount and a Super Clamp. I took off the suction cups to the HF mount and added some large magnets to the base. It works great and the Super Clamp swivels, so I can attach this mount to a metal surface and it is incredibly secure. I use it on my sidecar all the time and at high speeds.

I am saving this unmodified splint to try to develop a mount that will work when I put the splint on. The end piece sticks out enough that it should point the camera away from my foot and leg. I'll use Velcro strips to secure it to my leg. I can put the original sheep wool pads back on to attach it to my leg.
Personally, I try to use a tether on all action cams. The heat syncs do not heat up enough to cause any melting problems to this small rubber band at all.
Some people hit the gym while on a cruise. Some do nothing at all. For me it's walking the halls at around 6am. I'll get 1-1/2 miles of walking in before heading back to the cabin.....
All of these clips were captured with a GoPro Session 5 on a tiny tripod.

We had a houseful for Thanksgiving dinner and these extra folding charirs came in handy. Now we had to decide what to do with them until the next time they're needed. Ah Ha! Hang them in the garage.....
FWIW, I bought the kit from WalMart. It's a "Hyper Tough Quick Release 5-Piece Snap Rail System". The kit came with a 46" rail, two 6" hooks and two 3" hooks.

Went out to Gillard to continue on a skinny that I started I few weeks back. I was clearing trails when I saw this fallen tree perfectly situated along side a trail bend which would have made an awesome 200m alternative and would join back into the trail. Was gonna make a skinny, to a seesaw to a skinny feature. Sadly someone wasn’t too happy with the idea because when I got there my work was all cut up. I had my bike with me too so instead I went to see if my balls have had any growth and sure enough I managed to check off two new big ( to me ) features ( the slow-mo parts of the video ). Only problem with checking off scary features is that it moves features that were on the “impossible” ; “not in my lifetime” or “you’re too old for this shit” list to the “possible” ; “you got this” list 🙈.

I shaved off the front of this tubing, as it interfered with the camera lens when the camera was placed inside the tube. I will also drill out a hole in pipe to view the LED display with.
