Greetings from the Adirondacks! Myself and friend Scott Ireland recently headed out for an overnight canoe camp on Slang Pond. We put-in on Hoel Pond traveled through Turtle Pond and into Slang Pond. We found this amazing campsite on Slang and pitched our tents for the night. The weather and company were absolutely perfect. Overnight got down into the low 40's which for me is perfect sleeping weather. I even brought wool socks.
This was a relaxing adventure, just what the doctor ordered. Chef Ireland cooked some amazing steaks over the fire along with some rice. We sipped Bearface whiskey and enjoyed a few New York State beers as well.

After a solid week of father/son motorcycling through the Rockies and Yellowstone, it was time to point our iron steeds straight north for 15 hours. My newfound love for cruise control ended the trip on a high note.

Thursday morning I drove the Benz to Langford BC and walked a Jordie Lunn Bike Park Trail.
It was early so I pretty much had the place to myself.
Afterward, I put the drone up over Westhills Housing Development.

The nations of the earth prepared for war; world supremacy was on their minds. Flashes of lightning, roars of thunder, and hundred pound hailstones fell from the sky. The worst earthquake in human history shook the world to its core. Every island sunk, every mountain crumbled, and every city collapsed. Then the Beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies marched out for the Battle of Armageddon. Fire burned before them, and blood, fire, and billows of smoke followed behind them. They surrounded Jerusalem, and the city was captured. The light of the sun and the moon were darkened, and the stars did not shine. When the next day came, the daylight remained darkened. It was a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. It was a unique day, with no difference between day and night. But mark my words, when evening comes, there will be light! Bridge of Four Lions is a 28-metre-long pedestrian bridge over the Griboedov Canal in St Petersburg, connecting L'vinyi Drive to Malaya Podyacheskaya Street. The Lion Bridge is in the Admiralteysky District of St. Petersburg, connecting the Kazansky and Spassky Islands. Its abutments are crowned with four cast iron sculptures of lions, which give the bridge its name. The structure, suspended by cables emerging from the mouths of lions, was constructed in 1825 according to the design of two well-established bridge builders, Wilhelm von Traitteur and Basil Christianovicz. It is an outstanding monument of bridge-building architecture of the first quarter of the 19th century. It is also one of the three surviving pedestrian chain bridges in St. Petersburg (along with Bank and Pochtamtsky bridges).
In 1838, a reduced copy of the bridge (length 17.3 m, width 2 m) was erected by the firm Borsig for the project of the German architect LF Hesse on territory of Berlin's Great Tiergarten park.
The Lion Bridge was the first Berlin suspension bridge. Unlike the original in St. Petersburg, the superstructure and railings of the Berlin Lion Bridge are still wooden.
And now for something completely different. Played with taking still photos on my husband's GoPro at the pool today. Dad volunteered to dive into the water for some underwater shots.
