Of course the hotel accommodates smokers. No smoking in the rooms or any place else inside the hotel. There is a comfortable place in the parking lot with benches and a bucket of sand for any detritus.

This is the accommodation for the Sumatra Rig. Outside the door of my quarters there was a light, and one night I foolishly opened the door with the light on so that a great cloud of flies and mosquitoes got sucked into the room. Trying to get to sleep in a room full of mosquitoes is not recommended, so I spent about 3 hours killing them all before I went to sleep.
A revisit in March 2020 to this site. The site has now been cleared of trees and vegetation, returning it close to the state it would have been when operational. Due to the large amounts of asbestos, the buildings are being slowly dismantled, with the corrugated asbestos sheet being carefully removed from the roofs. The purpose of this visit was to capture the scale of the site, and record construction methods and materials as best as I could.
Locally known as the USAAF hospital, Ullenwood near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire was the site of the 110th General Hospital of the US Army Medical Corps in late 1944. Little other information is available.
A description of the camp exists - "The hospital buildings were of a uniform plan and setup and constructed of hollow tile, roofed with asbestos cement sheets. Adequate space was available for all wards, clinics, and laboratories. The quarters reserved for Officers, Nurses, and the Detachment were all of plaster board covered with tar paper and had asbestos cement roofs."
What remains today is a jumble of contemporary WW2 buildings, largely prefabricated concrete struts with asbestos roofs and clockwork walls that have been used for decades as household storage and small business units. The most interesting and medical related structure to remain is the covered corridor in the centre of the site that would have linked hospital wards.

El Calafate is a town in Patagonia, Argentina. It is situated in the southern border of Lake Argentino, in the southwest part of the Santa Cruz Province, about 320 km Northwest of RÃo Gallegos. The name of the city is derived from a little bush with yellow flowers and dark blue berries that is very common in Patagonia: the calafate (Berberis buxifolia).
El Calafate is an important tourist destination as the hub to visit different parts of the Los Glaciares National Park, including the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Cerro Chaltén and Cerro Torre [Wikipedia.org]
This was our very comfortable room at the Okaukuego waterhole. One of the best things about it was the fact as you left the room the waterhole was literally right in front of you. We shared the room with two spiders, but after finding out they were harmless we didn't mind too much : )
Dongas are modular, transportable accommodation, often used in remote mining camps in Australia. I think they were originally converted, shipping containers

Great location, friendly and welcoming staff who genuinely want you to have a great time in Marrackech. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and having a great time. Location is great and its close to the main square. The rooms were great, very comfortable and spacious. The roof terrace was absolutly amazing, we spent most of our time there just realzing and enjoying the sun. We look fowards to seeing the place and the staff again next year.

4-10, CITY ROAD Chester:
4 shops with living accommodation over, now shops and office. By TM Lockwood. Buff sandstone, timber framing with plaster panels and hard red brick; red-brown clay tile roof with 4 front gables before main ridge parallel with City Road. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. Ashlar piers at each end and between shopfronts; wrought-iron gates to entrances of Nos 2 and 6; recessed entrances with canted 1-pane side windows, that to No.8 altered; 1-pane windows to fronts of shops and office. A painted timber console before the head of each pier supports the jettied second storey which has a moulded fascia to the bressumer carved where carried round the bases of 4 mullioned and transomed 4-light oriels with leaded glazing and shaped panes; the oriels to Nos 2 and 8 are canted, those to Nos 4 and 6 are bowed; above transom level glazing is carried through between the oriels across the heads of close-studded framing; the moulded cornice is carved above the oriels. The third storey is jettied on consoles; a row of small-framed panels with alternating shaped and herringbone bracing; a 5-light casement, with leaded glazing and shaped panes, in each gable, those to Nos 2 and 8 having canted side lights and those to Nos 4 and 6 having their 3 central lights bowed; 2 small-framed panels to each side of each casement and jettied collars on consoles above, those to Nos 6 and 4 inscribed "AD:1900"; herringbone struts, those to Nos 4 and 6 in S-shaped curves; rainwater head between Nos 6 and 8 carved as a face; moulded bargeboards; drop-finials with castellated heads; a stone-dressed brick chimney on each end-gable and 2 on the ridge. The south end of No.2 has timber framing returned to the gable-chimney and brickwork behind it; the north end of No.8, formerly built against, is rendered. The rear has no features of special interest. The front is one of the most satisfying of TM Lockwood's half-timbered designs.

A nuclear bunker at the heart of Tbilisi.
After the collapse of the USSR the place was stripped in the 1990s. For some time it was occupied by a number of homeless people and also by illegal drugs manufacturers. A number of barrels that contains desomorphine (or known as 'krokodil') can still be found in the bunker. The bunker was designed to accommodate up to a few thousand people.
Today the bunker lies abandoned under the busiest streets in Tbilisi, with parts of it still being used as a simple storage basement for the city's street cleaners.
