"Source de vie terrestre, figée ainsi dans sa drôle de danse, elle invite à la pensée abstraite.

… Il y a dans ce mouvement torsadé, quelque chose de fort gracieux: normal me direz-vous, pour de l'or bleu!"

a note on this piece: it was created using a wide variety of techniques, incorporating random images and some of my own design, it wasn't altered digitally at all except to screw with the color a bit.

abstraction

the days

have grown alive again

because the wars

have found a new place to play

peace is backwards movement

discarded and left aside

war being forward movement

there is a righteous cause

after all this time

something worth fighting for

so mothers kiss their sons

and send them off

wives weep for the widows

that they will become

but everyone knows now

that they will not die in vain

because this battle is won

before it has even begun

the weapons this time have grown and evolved

guns and machines of carnage

are not needed any longer

the only weapon they wield this time

is a fat wad of cash

and a credit line with no limit

because this time

the war is not the same

and this time we are all soldiers

this is the war of the new world

the consumer is its soldier

the corporation their commander

the advertisement their orders

capitalism the flag they march under

they set their sights on the target market

and i am the target market

twenty something white male american

so go ahead and wage your war

go ahead and sell me something

this time the rules

have only one design

3-6-3 is the name of the game

pawns moved forward

while the king castles away

capital is the ammunition

and the capital this time

is the consumer itself

to manufacture the numbers

to thereby raise the profit margins

target locked upon the enemy

the competition

the true victory is monopoly

total control the answer

the battle lines defined

in catchy slogans

and massive add campaigns

each campaign wading through a new battle front

every world war now

are really just battles

in this the one true war

the casualty reports scrolling by

in the stock ticker

counter attacks planned in projections

board rooms the command posts

sending out the battle plans

now all wage the righteous fight as one

everyone is on their knees

to worship and lay their life down

for the reverend dow jones

and if democracy is truly

the new world order

than democracy is nothing more

than capitalisms bitch

this is the war of the new world

we the consumers its soldiers

the corporation our commander

the advertisement our orders

capitalism the flag we march under

we lock our sights on the target market

in a barrage of friendly fire

because the target market is the ever eager

fashion and trend obsessed american

so go ahead and fulfill your obligation

after all its all for the benefit

of your guaranteed satisfaction

we are the ammunition and the target

we are the capital and the true product

is numbers

so wage your war

and sell me something

static and

chaos

oh god

and act now

for only

four easy payments

of $29.99

i only want

to believe

i only want to be

one as everyone

please god

just sell me

something

i just want to buy

i just

want the

free gift

with my

purchase

i just want to be

like

everyone

else

we are

the target

market

I painted this myself with acrylic paint on stretched canvas. The black part in the center is india ink! Down with the Devil! I don't like Satan! I think he's mean!

#AB_FAV_WINTER_❄️❄️

A snowscape and what a wonderful artist the winter-wind can be, sculpting the white stuff into waves and clouds.

I love patterns and minimalism, I have many images taken over the years.

Some are more abstract than others.

Snow and frost is the main theme, they are great at setting off details we otherwise pass without seeing.

May your day be filled with joy and thank you for viewing, Magda (*_*)
