Cindy you are an absolute Goddess I cannot thank you enough for my brief encounter with the beauty you create

This couldn't have turned out better. Especially since this four-light set up was put together ON the way to this location and the set-up time was mere minutes before the train rolled across the Fox River at Sheridan.

Thanks Vahey for the M5-athon and slow-roll across the river and thanks Darkman Guss for the lighting.

The Absolute

I am — in all: I am forests and fields,

I am lucid dawn, the warm sun, and sun light.

I am the current of a river,

I am the mirror- like surface of a lake,

I am a strict Father and tender Mother.

You know them, you love them... a sunset shot of Lake Michigan. (Explore)

Absolute World is a residential condominium twin tower skyscraper complex in the five tower Absolute City Centre development in Mississauga, Ontario.[8] The project is being built by Fernbrook Homes and Cityzen Development Group. With the first three towers completed (Absolute City Centre 1 & 2 and Absolute Vision), the last two towers (Absolute World 4 & 5) were topped off at 50 and 56 storeys. Also been nick named the "Marilyn Monroe" buildings

While walking in the old Meuse regions, I also passed some trees and thought first that I had frightened a small falcon but I wonmder aout his flight style. Decided to take some shots despite the bad weather. Only at home did I find out who my "little friend" was.

This covered building reminded me of the many vodka advertisements I've seen for Absolute..

While wandering around the grounds of where we are staying we came across this otter in the small lake, what an absolute treat.

It could easily pass as the mid-1980s in this scene, but I actually took it on 25.10.21 and edited it to make it look more... yellow. The well-turned-out Mk1 Golf GX obviously helps, but the brick built flats complete with mini-gardens and wooden fences look untouched from when they were new (60s/70s I guess?), aside from the various wires trailing around the walls that are probably later additions.

The windows are probably not original either, but since they all match the buildings retain the uniform look they will have had since construction... even the vase somebody has put in the window contributes to the bygone look! The only thing really letting the view down is everyone's nemesis; the plasticky LED street light fixture that (as I like to bang on about) is nowhere near as good as its sodium predecessor. At least the concrete post remains, although I imagine the sleeved top section was a later addition.

Criptoportico mock-roman ruins in the English Garden, Royal Palace of Caserta, Campania, Italy

The royal palace and gardens of Caserta, Campania, were first laid out by Luigi Vanvitelli in 1752, around an over 4 km long central axis intended to match the scale and grandeur of Le Nôtre’s work at Versailles and other major baroque designs. The main feature became the northern 3,3 km of the axis, a spectacular water piece starting at an artificial rock high on the opposing hillside, and toppling down as a series of waterfalls, cascades, fountains, water-steps and grottos ending in a long canal at the foot of the palace’s main parterre. The originally intended elaborate parterres where never fully realized, but the surrounding bosquets feature numerous follies and sculptures, most notably a miniature moated mock-fortress, the Castelluccia, where the young king could playact naval and land battles.

Near the top of hillside and waterfalls, Vanvitelli’s son Carlo Vanvitelli and John Graefer created one of Italy’s first English landscape gardens in 1786, which became a spectacular design in its own right, highly inspired by (and in part adorned by pieces from) the then beginning excavations of nearby Pompei. Featuring countless follies, temples, conservatories, pyramids, obelisques, rocks and waterfalls; the absolute centrepiece of the garden is a deep artificial ravine with an almost jungle-like atmosphere, sculpture pieces like the “Bath of Venus”, and most importantly a remarkable mock-roman-ruins grotto, the Criptoportico, which truly allows visitors to feel like archaeological explorers.

I finally got around to shooting these towers which are also know as the Marilyn Monroe towers

The Absolute Towers also known as Marilyn Monroe Buildings located in Mississauga.
