For Macro Monday’s zipper theme. This week I had too many choices and have taken so many photos of zips: glittery ones from a party dress, textured ones from a leather jacket, plain ones, tiny ones, old ones, new ones and then ended up with this simple silhouetted image on a light pad. Can now relax again!
Folks in my area call this yellow garden spider a zipper spider due to the way the web looks. Looks like this one has scored some dinner.
I will actually be using this in less than four months on a cruise. Really cannot say I think it is a good idea to go, but want to please my sister! Ever been in my shoes?

When I walked below this highway overpass, I saw something very familiar. It reminds me of one of those forgetful days,

The RKM 740 Tower a.k.a. the Zipper Hotel is a mixed-use high-rise building located on the banks of the Rhein River in Düsseldorf. Designed by J. Mayer H. und Partner Architekten, the building was inaugurated in 2022. Lines of white metal cladding applied to the building's exterior creates a wavy pattern that opens up and looks like a zipper.
Zippers are one of the cooler inventions. Metal ones seem to work better. YKK is maybe the largest manufacturer of zippers in the world. Chances are you've seen those letters on a zipper. Founded by Tadao Yoshida in Tokyo in 1934, YKK stands for Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha. Two different Americans are credited with inventing the zipper. That's all I got for history. HMM!

Macro Mondays-Surname Letter
Zee is the letter my surname starts with. So I chose the zipper on my winter jacket.
My first attempt to focus stacking (33 images)
Taken with my Marumi DHG+5 mounted on my 70-210 kit lens.
Processed with Hugin align-mage-stack, Enfuse and Darktable
The result isn't as sharp as I hoped, I guess the budget hardware and the 1.6 seconds exposure per image didn't make it too easy to achieve the desired result.
Happy Macro Monday.
