This is just one half of a divisible zipper, I rolled it up and I like how it looks now :)

for looking close on Friday! Hope this is close enough! I totally forgot it was Friday, but when I saw so many zippers in the feed, I figured I better go and check. HLCoF!
I know I have a long way to go in macro photography . Had a hard time to have both , the zipper and the iris in the focus and my model started to lose his patience so that the best outcome we had . I guess I needed to go above f9 and more practice of course ...

Macro Mondays - Zipper
A colorful zipper on one of my wife's many coats. I don't think she ever wears this one. I did some light painting with a flashlight during this long exposure and am pretty pleased with the results. HMM
This was inspired by a recent innovation of Bognor Regis Camera Club. This was the idea to take a picture of a subject beginning with a letter of the alphabet each week taken that week. This week it was Z.
The picture was taken with a tripod with a Sony A550 with a Tamron 90 mm lens 1-1 Macro. I processed 3 images for HDR in Photomatix. Further processed with brightness adjustment layer using layer masks for part adjustments

MACRO MONDAYS: zipper
I like the thought processes involved in selecting a subject for Macro Mondays. It took me a little while this week to realise zippers were all around me in the cushions in the living room.

Partner, I have decided that Quilters Linen in Black (no linen in it, it is cotton) worked the best. I hope you can live with it. Now I have to figure out the rest. For the Mouthy Stitches swap.
