Looking Close...on Friday! ~ Blue
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.
This is just one half of a divisible zipper, I rolled it up and I like how it looks now :)
This is about 1,5 inch wide.
Happy Macro Monday.

for looking close on Friday! Hope this is close enough! I totally forgot it was Friday, but when I saw so many zippers in the feed, I figured I better go and check. HLCoF!
zippers are definitely everywhere in the house and my daily chores to top up petty cash into the purses of my kids. so naturally when the subject for today theme was announced I can immediately think of these.
When I was lost way what to do with the zipper photo composition, my dog stretched by my side. After that, the composition was decided.
I know I have a long way to go in macro photography . Had a hard time to have both , the zipper and the iris in the focus and my model started to lose his patience so that the best outcome we had . I guess I needed to go above f9 and more practice of course ...
Zippers are primal and modern at the very same time.
On the one hand, your zipper is primitive and reptilian,
on the other, mechanical and slick. A zipper is where
the Industrial Revolution meets the Cobra Cult.

Macro Mondays - Zipper
A colorful zipper on one of my wife's many coats. I don't think she ever wears this one. I did some light painting with a flashlight during this long exposure and am pretty pleased with the results. HMM
MACRO MONDAYS: zipper
I like the thought processes involved in selecting a subject for Macro Mondays. It took me a little while this week to realise zippers were all around me in the cushions in the living room.
HMM everyone!
Detail of my softshell jacket.
“Softshell” is a class of knit or woven materials, made from polyester and nylon, used to make technical outdoor clothing that essentially bridges the gap between waterproof hardshell jackets and highly breathable fleece jackets. They’re more breathable (but less water and wind resistant), more flexible, and generally more durable than hardshell materials, and more protective than fleece. - See more at: www.backcountry.com/explore/what-the-hell-is-softshell#st...
Partner, I have decided that Quilters Linen in Black (no linen in it, it is cotton) worked the best. I hope you can live with it. Now I have to figure out the rest. For the Mouthy Stitches swap.

The pattern is from Quilter's Cache here: www.quilterscache.com/T/TippecanoeBlock.html (I reduced it to 20%)
