No story today. Just music on the malecon. Wish I could offer you a soundtrack too. Three friends, Julio, Fidel and William, playing and singing their hearts out sitting on the sea wall. The hand & portrait is Fidel (centre). Had met him, solo, several days earlier & was delighted to run into him again. He's quite the character !! Had intended to post the b&w below as the lead pic but then found this hand shot. I like it . Hope you do too :)

This is Albino whitetail deer Kicker and her sister Suzy as they walk down the deer trail near our house.
My wife Marshia and I hope everyone had a very special holiday season. Now that it is winter the Albino deer family has come to send everyday on our land. Over the past couple of weeks I have spent most of my time trying to get a lot of new and exciting photos of this amazing family. My wife Marshia just completed another albino video and it is posted on You Tube it is very entertaining video of this past summer and fall, she works very hard editing all the videos and combining them into one so everyone can see these amazing creatures as we do. So, while I was busy taking care of all the stuff happening in my life... my YouTube channel hit more than 5 thousand subscribers. Not as much as the almost 7 thousand of people following me here on Flickr, but still something which is quite weird for me to wrap my head around. :)
Just wanted to say.. thanks so much! Especially during these times, it means a lot that you are there! :)
We were blessed by having wonderful sightings of the sunrise every morning. Can you hear the chaco chachalaca and undulated tinamous calling?

You all know that I love colourful dresses and colourful shoes, but my first and true love will always be the black dress. :-)
Now, with an LBD, I usually like black heels.. but this time, I thought I'd wear the studded stiletto heels that were gift from my dance teacher. I really love as they are a) very sexy and 2) super comfy for what are at least 5.5 inch heels!

Y'all know I love polka-dot dresses and this yellow one with white dots is super pretty!
And I think that with yellow.. the best colour for the shoes is red. Perhaps green as well, but probably simply red. These pumps are my trusty Steve Madden pair that I purchased years ago. Still love them so much!

The second item is an off-the-shoulder floral A-line dress. It's also no secret I love colourful floral patterns. And I do love dresses that show off the shoulders!
Sure, I like short dresses and skirts, but I also love the elegance that a midi-length dresses provides. Paired with some white heels.. and off to a garden party it is! ;-)

Obviously, I'm wearing jeans because it's cold, so I'm also wearing boots! And these ones are one of my favourites! Simple black over-the-knee boots with a 5 inch stiletto heel from Buffalo.
And I think I've mentioned it before.. these are so surprisingly comfortable! ♥

For the past 5+ years I’ve been walking indoors in my home (to keep things as consistent and as manageable as possible) as a part of my morning routine which I find beneficial for my wellbeing. Due to my intense struggles this can be very challenging and my mind can become very busy and overwhelmed. Something that has been helpful is to try to focus on YouTube videos while walking. Most of these years I’ve watched photography videos and sometimes will also watch videos about book binding, leathercraft or mental health. I find these topics very interesting and fascinating. I have seen a lot of photography videos over the years which have been so inspiring and I can’t really explain with words how helpful these videos can be for me. Some days I have no idea how I will be able to make it through another day, open my eyes, move or do my regular walking and these videos can be a great help. This particular video is by @teo_crawford—I love his fantastic video and photo work, find interest in his content, truly appreciate how he gives an honest, open, truthful and balanced, gracious critique of his own work in a way that inspires my desire to make photos and work to have honest, kind self-talk and assents of my own photos. If you are not familiar with Teo Crawford I highly recommend viewing his Instagram or YouTube channel. Thank you, Teo, for the amazing work you create and for your inspiration.

As a way to cope with circumstances beyond my control, survive and work to keep fighting for life I decided to try to take at least one photo (or more) each day. I call this “a photo (or more) a day.” Practicing this form of therapeutic photography helps me work to focus on the present moment, gives me something familiar and enjoyable to focus on as I use photography skills that have become like second-nature to me and being able to view the images I capture helps me recall what I was thinking, feeling and noticing at the moment when I created the photos. I may not always have the energy, time or capacity to share photos from this series—especially with the very challenging circumstances my family and I are experiencing—and will do my best to continue taking a photo (or more) a day even if I’m not able to share.
