wonder where the actual chips are in the BGA packages. the pins seem to directly connect to the chip, since inside the package there are no routings like with the old chips.
This adult hellbender (Cryptobranchus alleganiensis) was brought in by two local fishermen who caught it on a hook and line. We managed to remove most of the hook but it was decided that it was too dangerous to remove the barbed part because it was embedded in the surrounding tissue. Several months later, the hellbender seems to be thriving in the off-exhibit area where it is currently maintained.
I am not certain what the vertical bands are on the x-ray but we suspect that they are just an artifact of the x-ray process .
x-rays from my 4 week exam. I'm really uploading these for my physio, but they are impressive. I'm doing a lot better now.
Pre- and post-contrast T1 weighted images show enhancement of the lesions shown on the previous slide.
Answers:
1. The lesion affecting the interpeduncular fossa of the midbrain is the most likely to be relevant to the patient's "blindness"; it is at or close to the root exit zone of CN3 (oculomotor nerve) bilaterally.
2. This patient has known neurosarcoidosis. Other possible causes are tuberculosis, eosinophilic granuloma, metastatic tumour or an unusual presentation of lymphoma.
Question:
1. Can you see a "new" lesion on the T1+C images, that was essentially invisible on FLAIR and T2?

Kieran had a terrible weekend in Porto with really bad toothache (I even had to take him to hospital on saturday for some pain killers and antibiotics) and the left side of his face swelled right up. A trip to the dentist for an x-ray revealed an abscess which requires some super strong antibiotics before it can be fixed. The dentist's words were 'drink on these and you WILL pass out' !!

Developed in D-76, diluted 1:4, for 10min circa.
This film is double sided. Here one side of the negative has been stripped using bleach.
I taped the negative to a glass surface, then I applied the bleach using a brush, repeatedly washing away the bleached emulsion in running water. The bleaching caused the image to be erased in two steps, so it wasn't exactly easy to understand when the side of the film was actually clear.
If you zoom in, you can actually see that this one-sided negative allows for much improved clarity in scan compared to the double sided film.
I think the dots are water spots. Have to look into it more carefully.
Nice, isn't it?
Being a kid i've always wanted to know "what's inside". Ripping apart old television sets, radios and refrigerators i was trying to answer this eternal question. Things have changed since then, but the question still bothers me. That's why my crude xray setup was born.
On this picture, you can see the batteries, switches, and silicon chips inside of my car keys. And the wonderful thing is that i can still use them!
A large sip of tasty barium sits at the bottom of my really stretched out esophagus, waiting to get into my stomach.
Latest attempt are determining best way to expose and develop Kodak L/RA Xray Film.
This is a "warts and all" image showing the funny lines and blotches I sometimes get.
Exposed at ISO 10 and developed for 15 minutes on Caffenol-HC+1g/l KBr.
Taken whilst my grandson Leo was playing Uno, with grandad and Uncle Jake, god dosn't that make everyone sound old., how time flys.
the xray taken yesterday determined that there is "something" wrong with my kidneys. today was a ct scan. but they're moving oh so slowly, so i get to be in pain in the meantime. and who knows when the surgery will be.
fuckers.

there's a little note of fun to read.
Notice how the tip of the finger is bent down....this was done to fill in the "gap" seen in the side profile pic below
