In 1902 the dry dock was being towed from London, England to Durban, SA when it broke free during a storm and washed up along the Garden Route coast. It's pretty much only accessible during low tides, walking about 45 minutes from Glentana.

that open bow door marks this as an LST......sailors and marines said that stood for Large Slow Target..... gallows humor?

This wrecked, weathered boat tries to hold on until it is rescued. Sadly, it never came. Photographed near Corpus Christi, Texas sometime last century. Taken with a Canon AE 1 film camera, a Vivitar 70-210 zoom lens on Kodak film.

Shipwreck on inisheer, the smallest of the aran islands. The ship was called the Plassey and was wrecked in the 1960s. It now permanently sits above high tide. Took a number of photos from inside and out but think this is definitely one of my favourites.

Five years ago I met Helena Grbavac, who later became my all time favorite model. I've only done two shoots with Helena, and this shoot is the first one. This shoot couldn't have been more simple. No stylists, no make-up, no crew of any kind. Just Helena and I walking through Canada's National Gallery.

The theme of the shot was that for ever picture Helena walked in front of, her chameleon qualities would take on what was directly behind her. Of course Photoshop had allot to do with Helena's chameleon like qualities!

Before Helena and I went to the gallery I found out that in Canada, you're allowed to take shots in public places. And the National Gallery qualified as a public place. So without a flash, and only taking shots of 'Canadian Owned' works, Helena and I set out like two kids in a candy store. How nice to have the freedom to shoot in such a large location!

Of course we where watched by the security guards like hawks! Might have been because they where afraid we'd wreck the art or because I was running around with a half naked model! We'll never know.

I save all the mail that friends and relatives send me, so this page was fairly simple, but still very fun.

Just before I went to ACen 2014, I got an opportunity to see Wreck-It Ralph. I liked the movie, which combined a cute story with the video games I grew up with (now I feel old). So it was neat to see a Wreck-It cosplay at the con.

For those of you unfamiliar with Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph is a video game villain who really doesn't want to be one. He attempts to escape from his life, which wreaks havoc on the video game world. On the course of his journey, he runs into Vanelope van Schweetz, a glitch character in the universe, and they end up teaming up. Ralph's power is that he can, well, wreck things with his oversized fists.

I thought this was a good cosplay; one of the things I look for in cosplay are the little details. Ralph has Vanelope's gift to him (a cookie) around his neck, which is an important plot point in the movie--that's a nice addition.
