all those gifts and the box is still the most fun (even at 4 1/2 years old)

December 21, 2009-- Today I got a huge chunk of Christmas shopping done. Only 2 more gifts to buy! Yay! But today as I was wrapping presents, I realized that it was the first time since I was like 11 that I didn't blast my tradtional "Present Wrapping Music". What is this music? "El Tango De Roxanne" from Moulin Rouge, as sung by Ewan McGregor, Jacek Koman, and Jose Feliciano. It's about a far from Christmas music as you can get, and I don't know why I listen to it while I wrap presents.

Speaking of Moulin Rouge, this is my favorite movie of all time. If you want a SPECTACULAR and BEAUTIFUL romance movie, guys, your lady is destined to love this one.

yay! opened Marina At Makina finally :) check the profile for link

For 7DOS. A birthday gift for a friend.

Annoyed by paparazzi at her birthday party.

This is a sample of a kaleidoscope tessellation requested by, and created for, a friend (Gina) I met here on Flickr. She makes candy wrappers, gift wrap, bookmarks, etc., but her site is no longer online, so I'm not sure where to get her products any longer.

Only sample tiles are available for viewing since I used her original picture instead of one of my own or one from Flickr with a CC license.

this is the finished illustration, I think I like the original better . opinions.........

The model is supposed to be made from a square, but I cheated and cut off those corners to make the folding easier. So technically, this particular flower is folded from an octagon. I folded a star from those leftovers, so nothing got wasted :D

Festive card illustration - based on the idea of having the card 'wrapped' as opposed to a present

Gromit has always loved to unwrap presents. Strictly speaking what he really loves is to shred bits of paper, so come Christmas time he's in his element.

It's more than a year since our little lad was diagnosed with a tumour. At the time he was given only 3 to 6 months. He's done really well this year but he's been on bonus time since the summer. We didn't think he'd be around to help us open our presents this year. Having him with us for one more Christmas was the best present we had.

Taken on New Year's Eve when we were taking the ornaments off the Christmas tree. Here is Wanda enjoying the festivities. I will create a new series of pictures called the cat amusement park to showcase the rides and attractions that would work at such a venture.

Getting Mother's Day gifts ready for other mothers (yeah, I know it's a manufactured holiday, but it's one I kinda like).

Got this for my birthday and made a start over the weekend. Mysterious gingham koala-thing courtesy of birthday present wrapping paper!

a quite mother's day morning.

Selling all kinds of stationery made from paper - photo albums, photo frames, note books, pen holders, diaries, and wrapping paper. It's paper heaven for me!!
