Another view of my workspace. Nothing spectacular. Its so clean because i just finished school (and all the projects that went along) and i got absolutely nothing on my mind (for a while ;)
Sliding doors or moveable walls could close off the open workspace when needed. The open concept: Promotes interaction between family members when time is at a premium; Invites more light into space and air; Removes "dead" spaces from interiors.
So this is as bad as the poor pod problem seems to get in this batch of Impossible film.
I think i'm being biased because I love taking polaroids, but I don't really mind. I'm definitely glad I got as much film as I did at that price.
My dream workspace would be something like this. With a huge bright window facing the ocean or sea with the breeze and the sound of crashing waves.
When I was in college I dreamed about having a tiny coffee shop on the shores of the Mediterranean somewhere in rural Spain. Still could be nice one day.
I'm talking too much.

Efforts towards minimalism.
We purchased a wireless router to allow access to the internet from our laptop. The laptop lives on our coffee table which is my Grandfather's WWII army trunk.
The blue file folder next to the laptop stores items I need to pay bills; checkbook, stamps (for the one or two items I need to mail), envelopes, etc.
This blue folder is stored in a dresser drawer that resides in my dining room along with the wireless printer/scanner/copier.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EF 50mm. lens: ƒ/1.8, 1/50 sec., ISO 100.
My current workspace setup at home. I very seldomly work here as I find there are far too many distractions around me, but on cold days like today, it does the job quite well.
This is my office workspace.
PC: HP EliteBook 8530w with a 22" widescreen monitor. I prefer having virtual desktops than multiple monitors, so regardless that it is configured, I never open the lid of the notebook for extra pixels.
Office:
L shaped desk, currently not filled with paper piles. The lamp, the two sofas, the scented candles and some desktop storage stuff not visible on the desk are from Ikea.
Photoshop toolbar on the wall was inspired by a photograph I've seen here on Flickr.
Left side of workspace showing drawers with most of the stuff I use most often - texture, paints, inks, some tools, sanding supplies, started projects that I'm not too fond of, oh, lots of stuff.

Started med school last week. Started moving into my new place.
Knowing that I am probably going to be shackled to a desk for a majority of my free time, I thought it would be fun to bring in some of the greenness from the outdoors.
I used the living room to create an open workspace. Purchased a 10' x 10' piece of artificial grass to serve as an area rug. The grass has a 1.5" blade length, very enjoyable to sit on or feel the grass between your toes while studying.
Table and shelf are from Ikea, I made the frankentable by joining two tables together with the legs in the middle, along with a cable organizer between the two.
I used an extra strip of artificial grass over the center of the table to hide all the cables going from the computer accessories to the power cable organizer underneath the table.
Shelf was used to hold the printers and books.
Additionally, I cut a small hole in the artificial grass so I could feed a power cable underneath to run to the wall outlet unseen.
A shot of the computer desk before we start boxing everything up. This is what it looks like before the move. I love baskets to keep stuff in.
This is my workspace. The table was only $200 from Target- I got the chair from Home Goods. The picture was only $50 from Target. As far as cords go, I use one power cord for my laptop which I leave plugged into the wall on the right side of the table. I don't have it plugged in here. My internet connection is wireless so that saves a cord. The printer is also wireless.
Some minor updates to my workspace. New Dell 2408WFP monitor, some posters and pictures of kids to lighten up the place and an old Yamaha DGX 76-key keyboard.
My workspace -- books, computers, light box, camcorder, cutting table, blanket over the windows to keep the cold winter air out... This goes along with my interview by Julie of 8Balloons. Read more here: ruralpearl.com/blog/?p=2432
