HARAJUKU is well-known as fashion Street of Tokyo. A shopping and entertainment district for the young and trendy. HARAJUKU first burst onto the scene in 1964 - the Olympic year. HARAJUKU's fashion is an extraordinary blend of goods reflecting the Japanese notions of "cute", "cool and American" and "rebellious and British". In other words a strange mixture of Hello Kitty, Disney, hip-hop and the infamous British punk and fancy dresses.

Sometimes I actiually have to use the camera for work. This week it has been product shots; holiday cottage interiors and today our new vintage cider. I've entered all three into the Taste of the West contest this year, so I'll have to reshoot this if they win anything!

We restarted the cider production just over ten years ago; the cows were eating all the apples and getting rowdy.

White's Original is named after the White family who made Ashcombe Cider from the late 1800's to the 1950's.

Gratton's Gold is named after Peter Gratton who farmed and looked after the orchard from the 1950's to 2012.

Finally St Nectar which is a play on St Nectan - the patron saint of the parish church, whose head was cut off by cattle thieves in about 510AD. He carried his own head home to die and wherever his blood drop fell foxgloves were said to grow.

OMG i COMPLETELY forgot about this photoshoot, so yeah. Luckily, my sis reminded me. Anyways, sorry about the not-so-great quality; it's dark here already. Now, for the required story ^^:

Violet's parents forced her into an arranged marriage with a horrid man: Derek Mathews. She didn't even choose her own dress; her parents chose everything and did everything for Violet. When the wedding finally came around, Violet was sweating and pacing so much that she left a mark in the wood still there to this day. She didn't know what to do, and her bridesmaids were already walking down the aisle. Then, it was her turn. Since Violet's dad missed the wedding for a drinking party, she had to walk down the aisle with her father-in-law. And while the priest began the ceremonial sayings, Violet looked everywhere except at her fiance's eyes. "And do you, Violet Zelle, take Derek Matthews' loyal hand in marriage?" Silence flooded the room. What was minutes seemed like hours for the poor bride. "I...I..." "What's wrong, love?" whispered Derek. "I don't love you," mumbled Violet. " I don't love, you, I don't like you, I don't even know you!" Violet's voice rose louder and louder with every syllable. "In fact, I don't. I don't, and I never. Ever will. Marry you." That's when Violet dropped her bouquet and ran towards the door. She kicked her pumps off in two seconds flat and raced to the nearby apple orchard, searching for a place to hide. Seconds after she had placed herself in her hiding spot, Violet heard voices shouting her name. She wedged herself deeper into her corner, pulling her dress tighter to her body. Before she knew it, the back of Derek's feet were right above her face. "I can't believe that she left me. Two for two, i guess. I thought turning into another man would help change her mind, but i guess not. This wig is a piece of crap!" A brunette wig fell into Violet's lap. " I guess i'm no good for her, Bob Zanders or Derek Mathews. I don't think I can live knowing i can't have the girl of my dreams." Violet heard a hard swishing sound. Puzzled, she opened her eyes, which she had closed soon after Derek's arrival. But what happened next would scar her for the rest of her life. Derek's cold, lifeless body fell suddenly on top of Violet's wedding gown. She almost screamed, but she knew that it would give herself away, and held it down. Violet's family never did find her, and April 15th, 2012 they recorded her dead. The only clue they ever did find was a diamond ring found in a corner of wood in the apple orchard along with three drops of blood.

Sorry for the long story! i would have made it longer if I could xD. I love to write stories, and one day i might develop more on this :D

Thank you for the nine favorites! Let's hope none hide away with Violet.... O_o lol

fever performing arts photo session...we should have taped this into a documentary on how to organize 60 little girls

On Congress Avenue in Austin, TX.

I went to enjoy the Austin Pride Parade, but I ended up at some kind of Rainbow Jesus procession.

I am guessing that there was some large Jesus / Church mission at the TX Capital that somehow overtook and broke the Queer Parade.

There were a few good Queer fun things like Dead Music Capital band, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Dykes on Bikes, A couple of floats with scantily clad people, and Fleshjack (local Austin Company).

But there were about 50 Jesus churches, including the Catholic Church. They all seemed to like the Gayz / Homosexuals, which is good.

Also, aside from some city council members, the only political organization in the parade was the Log Cabin Republicans all 6 or 7 of them.

...you make the rockin' world go 'round!

These cuties live across from the National Museum of Women in the Arts in DC. They are sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle and they are "dancing along New York Avenue" according to the museum's website.

I love them and long to be that fabulous and free!
