on muslin, design is about 8 inches across. Redrawn on paper and then ironed onto fabric. This is a from a mini mini element on an image of a ceramic tile found on NYPL's website. LOVE that website!!!

The idea with the sealant is to deny crumbs and granules a place to hide. Yes, I'm actually going to use this as a Bento. Yes, use. I already ruined the "collectable value" of this piece by modding it.

work in progress, as always.

I promise, someday something will be complete.

I removed the supporting armature a bit prematurely on this construction and the result is a leaning mugphlute...Working with pulled and twisted clay can result in stresses that result in the clay attempting to shrink/warp back into its previous state (thus the term 'clay memory').

I may still be able to alter/trim the base in order to re-establish a better center of gravity. I'd sure hate to see this much work end up in the slop bucket (Akkk!).

I used a single 1x1 rib for the edges. The interior is a twin rib.

Watch out for a matching hat & wrist warmers!

All my cake slices are lined up and waiting to be stacked and frosted.

The little 8 x 10 inch acrylic is coming along. The house is within a few minutes of being finished. It is ready for occupancy by an imaginary family... probably mice. Then there are some shadows to suggest and such. It will be finished next time you see it.

I'm running late!
