my newest project in progress!

i draw a lot of flowers in my sketch book

or on random computer paper

but whenever i end up using a certain drawing

i always have to tear it out...

otherwise i get side tracked looking at all the others.

La nuova imponente opera di Giorgio Palli, che sta nascendo nel Parco Tassinari, nel centro di Faenza.

More work on Uriah - I haven't done his backpack because I think I'm going to sculpt more fur in its place. Posting for final feedback otherwise with the exception of the fur/backpack question he's done.

There are always more than one project at a time going on.

I realize now that I should have included a quarter, or something, to give a size reference. Those are size 19 needles!

It feels a little like knitting with Lincoln Logs...

Tyranid Carnifex currently in progress. A Imperial barrel and tank tread are glued to the base along with pieces of cork to place the Carnifex above the rubble, in progress.

This is the latest in my poppy oil painting "series". Measures 32 X 48 ", oil on canvas. Based on This Photo

A different view - I was intrigued by the 2 silver birch

This is a piece I painted when I was probably 10. I am putting him back together, filling in the gaps, remaking the base and starting over with fresh paint. It should be fun.

Interesting, isn't it? You can underpaint with the complementary color of the finished work. It adds a certain glow to the finished painting. It's an old, old, academic painting procedure.

Intéressant, n'est-ce pas? Vous pouvez underpaint avec la couleur complémentaire de l'ouvrage fini. Il ajoute un éclat certain à la peinture finie. C'est un vieux, vieux, la procédure de la peinture académique.

Only one more outfit to go!

spoiler from my blog...

on muslin, design is about 8 inches across. Redrawn on paper and then ironed onto fabric. This is a from a mini mini element on an image of a ceramic tile found on NYPL's website. LOVE that website!!!

The idea with the sealant is to deny crumbs and granules a place to hide. Yes, I'm actually going to use this as a Bento. Yes, use. I already ruined the "collectable value" of this piece by modding it.

work in progress, as always.

I promise, someday something will be complete.
