Dec. 5, Wells led legislators, community partners and University leaders on a “Catalyst Tour,” a visit and look into places on and off campus that showcase the state’s third largest University’s dedication to economic and workforce development partnerships and initiatives.

The Global Health Workforce Aliance presented the International Health Workforce Awards on May 26, 2016 during the 69th World Health Assembly. The awards recognize outstanding health workers and individuals who have demonstrated significant achievements in the field of human resources for health. The 2016 winners are: Dr. Bernice Dahn, Health Minister of Liberia, Damali Inhensiko, Midwife, Luuka District, Uganda, Dr. Sigrun Møgedal, Special Advisor, Norwegian Institute of Public Health and Tom Murphy, Journalist, the Humanosphere.

The 2020 Skills USA, SW Washington Regional Welding Competition was held on Saturday, January 11 at Lower Columbia College.

 

LCC partners with Skills USA to host this event, as a way to give students an opportunity to test their welding skills and gain exposure to future career and educational pathways.

 

LCC offers students who are enrolled in welding courses at local area high schools the opportunity to earn Tech Prep credits to help jump start their educational goals post high school.
